If the Flames play like this against a better team we are going to get swept

The only reason you notice Tkachuk in the first is that the camera guys are looking for him

Flames D are really struggling moving the puck cleanly against the Jets forechecking pressure.

Flames just need to start connecting on their first pass, and then will take over the play. Flames typically start slow. Jets typically go flat in the second.

You could've said the same thing after 20 on Saturday, but.......

60 minute game. Sit down and save the bitching for the final whistle.

The strongest period so far by the jets was fully expected. They played as well as they could have with a depleted line up. And they could only muster one.

I doubt they keep up to that extent the rest of the way. Just as i doubt the flames butcher their exits to that extent the rest of the way. Ebbs and flows, and we know flames games have plenty.

Well it would be nice if he scored once every 3 months....

and we are down 1-0 mostly because of him.

Meh...to a 'Hawk fan, the name "Tkachuk" translates to "#####ebag!" (to translate past the auto-censor: "Feminine-Hygine-Product Bag")

Flames haven't had a 2-0 series lead since the WCF against the Sharks in 2004.

Oh we are so winning this. Played putrid, only down by 1 and got more than 1 shot 16 minutes into the game.

The Flames needed to weather the storm for the opening few shifts of the game before re-establishing themselves.

The only problem is that they did not actually turn things on until the last couple minutes of the first.

We'll see if they can continue to build in a positive direction in the 2nd, but frankly if the Jets were a better team up front, it's probably 3 or 4 nothing right now. They got away with a lot of bad and chintzy mistakes that are not acceptable in a regular season game, let alone in the playoffs.

Team known for starting slow vs team known for starting fast. Down by 1 isn't bad right now imo

No we’re down because of dube leaving his assignment. We had defensive coverage to make it 2v2 and it turned into a breakaway

Is the game over? I didn't think they started great, but the Flames sure as hell didn't play poorly. Winnipeg is clogging the neutral zone and frustrating their exits and entries, but I thought they started to get better toward the end.

There is plenty of ti.e for this team to make a statement.
