Scheifele went into the boards awkwardly. As someone else mentioned, if Tkachuk wasn't in the picture, it wouldn't even be a conversation.
As for Staples, it's about time to put him in a stew. He has no utility for humanity.

I think it was the Rangers Canes game where they said that out of 56 five game series between 1979 and 1986, the winners of game 1 won 49 of them.
Fun thought after the Oilers game.

I feel like regardless of the Maurice comments, the Jets won't be coming after Tkachuk with an intentionally dirty. Even they know it wasn't on purpose. No doubt they'll be playing him physical but I'd hope that was the plan prior to the series even starting.

When Laine checked Giordano, his left wrist hit the boards. Then Bennett came in and hit him (cleanly) while his wrist was still by the boards. One of those two incidents is what caused the injury. Giordano never came within two feet of his left hand.
