I don’t think that injury had anything to do with Tkachuk. Scheifele literally turned into the boards while looking the other way. I don’t think Tkachuk missing his hot entirely changed anything. He was going to get hurt regardless.

“Dirty filthy kick” my ass Maurice. Get a grip.

Paul Maurice said Matthew Tkachuk’s hit was intentional, an “absolutely filthy disgusting hit” and could have ended Mark Scheifele’s career.

“It was a filthy, dirty hit,” says Paul Maurice of Matthew Tkachuk’s hit on Mark Scheifele. Says you can see from the blue line feed that it was intentional. “A filthy, disgusting hit.”

Lol, these guys can't be serious. Did they even watch the f'n replay? There's nothing there, man. Completely accidental play that unfortunately resulted in an injury. But there was nothing malicious about it whatsoever. Put down the crack pipe, Maurice. What a jackass.

I hope these two teams aren't staying in the same hotel.

There's no consensus in Jets fan land it was dirty. Please stop with your made up narrative

I didn't even notice Tkachuk's foot on the replay, I was looking at his hands to see if he pushed Scheifele. I guess we'll see if it was a knee thing from running into the boards or an ankle / calf thing where the skate could have hit him.

... Or rather I guess we won't since they're not disclosing injuries.

Pathetic and desperate response from Maurice.

Giving his players an excuse.

Abomination of leadership.

The great takeaway is the Flames absolutely dominated special teams, which seemed to be the entirety of the game.

The not-good takeaway is 5v5, it was similar to last year against the Avs. Had 4 more shots but were badly-beaten in every category.

Need to be much better 5v5 or continue to play the majority of the game on special teams

I had a player in football that went to make a hard cut and went down, he had an and I'm going to completely butcher this. An avulsion fracture, I'm not saying that's what this is, but the injury was caused by torque not some fictional part of the MT missed brush hit.

I think Tkachuk did try to make contact with the skates. I don't think he was trying to cut him though, that was an accident. He should be suspended if Schieffele is out long term.

It is working, we are talking about it. I have seen that replay more than replays of all the goals in the game. Without that he and his team would have to talk about how they were 0 for 7 on the PP, or out shot 30 to 10 after they scored their goal early in the first.

A filthy hit was it?
Well, when he doesn’t get suspended or even reviewed you’re going to look like a fool Paul. So shut the #### up and find the real reason why your team lost.
