So good, one game and the Oilers already just about on life support. Need to win 3 out of 4 or nighty night.

Let's Go (in garbage time).

And still a McMinus-3 despite all the point bagging.

The Oil did absolutely nothing at ES. While RNHs goal, technically, was ES, it was still with a man up in the O-Zone. If the Oil don't find a way to play 5 on 5, then advacing is improbable.

Koskinen looks much more solid than Smith, however, the 'Hawks whiffed on a number of chances, where he was beaten, and the Oil D was nowhere to be seen.

This is why I’m not too upset with the late couple of goals. I didn’t watch, but it sounded like the Oilers got pretty thoroughly outplayed. However, with a 6-4 score they can tell themselves “a couple of bounces and things could have been different. We don’t need to change anything.”

Pretty classic Oilers, IMO.

I don't think it would have mattered much which goalie started. Smith was bad, but the Oilers were even worse when playing in their own zone. I am also not sure how much to read into Kostinem's performance in this game—after that sixth goal Chicago played the rest of the game in shut-down mode.

I do wonder what % of McDavid and Leon's points have come when the game was already out of reach

McDavid, 4 points and a -2. Of course.

Tippett is going to lose it, and we all know how well that dressing room responds to adversity.

Now? Where have you been. They have been doing this since Matt Duchane had an obvious offside in a game between the Avs and the Predators where he was a few feet offside. It quickly morphed into a bunch of weird calls where the dragging of the toe on the line vs ever so slightly in the air. Nice thoughts but can really slow down play though sometimes though.

Learning to instinctually use the PP as a crutch is going to be their undoing. Hard to be surprised that their bottom third of the league even strength stats were going to circle around for a rear chomp when it mattered.

Louie DeBrusk at the end of the game: The Oilers looked better in the second half of the game.
Sportsnet Central lady when they switch from the game: The Oilers were dominated by the Hawks.

I'm glad someone at Sportsnet can tell it for how it went.

Thanks to you Flame fans, for letting a 'Hawk fan hang with you. Wishing your squad good luck tonight. If my wife doesn't drag me out of the house, I'll see you on the GT for the Flame game, as a neutral observer. (I have no particular dislike for Winnepeg).

Hating the Oilers can bring us all together.

I love that there is already a thread about Lafreniere on their boards.

What a bunch of d-bags, feel their entitled to everything. Once they feel the series is out of reach, it's time to focus on what they do best: lottery draft party.
