How much more rope is Jankowski going to get to hang himself with? Heard he was dreadful in that pre-restart game against the Oilers and he's been god awful for 80% of the year before covid halted things.
Surely he's sitting out game 1.

Johnny Hockey hasn't scored a playoff goal since his rookie year, c'mon Gaudreau!

Yeah i don't know why people are fine with Rieder eating up a spot.
Jankowski at least has a use that makes him helpful.
I'm also a fan of energized Rinaldo and would like to see him in here. He's great when he's been chomping at the bit to get game action.

I know things can change, but this is a mistake.
Lucic - Bennett - Dube would be the smart choice.
The top 9 as it is drawn up there has continually shown to fail at getting emotionally engaged early in games. Getting Bennett into it early would be the smart decision.
|
Meh. If Bennett comes out and plays his playoff style game,I have no doubt he will be moved up. Plus they will be rolling 4 lines early , so it will be up to him to get involved.

Does that even matter anymore given that he was stinky garbage for about 3/4 of the season before Covid-19 halted things? He's gotten into way more games than he's earned this year and shows no signs of turning things around.
Sit him out tonight.

Staple on the Pk, stapled to the bench the rest of the game.

This team lacks an ability to get emotionally engaged in games. Jankowski is the epitome of that. Scratch Janko, play Benny at centre, dress Rinaldo. That's exactly how it should go.

Five game series? I hope that's where we start.

Bless him, but Ward gave us NOTHING in his avail in terms of lineup info.
Lots of philosophical insight, but no concrete info.

More of a paperclip.
The staples of our PK are Giordano, Backlund, and Lindholm.

I don’t think many ppl like Janko or Reider in there.
They aren’t the best 5v5 players.

I am in for tonight and excited about it.
With most of Hurricane Isias past me now I reattached the wifi antenna and the internet was right there waiting for me with a great looking scoreline from the Edm-Chi 1st period.
I figure the survival of my connection is a good sign. God wouldn't let it survive just for me to watch a loss would she?
I've been such a good boy lately.

I'm pretty excited for (Flames) hockey to be back, but if I'm being honest with everything that has gone on I feel less invested in the outcome. It feels less personal.
If they lose, so be it. But put it all out there so you can at least sleep at night. I just want to see some good hockey. I don't want to see that stunned shell-shocked look on their faces like last year. I don't want to see Gaudreau button hook on every zone entry. I don't want to see Tkachuk try too hard and overcompensate by throwing his body around wrecklessly only to get clocked by a Zadorov like character. I don't want to see hopeless stretch passes because the other team has clearly owned the neutral zone and hail marys are your only chance. I don't want to see Bennett own a shift, just for Jankowski to sleepwalk his way to an ugly turnover.
Show that you belong and entertain me goddammit.
