Yes he’s still collecting his Leafs cheque’s. Officially he's volunteering at the school.

Babcock did great with a great team...dead last with a bad one
IDK, seems fair to say he may have been over rated a bit...nobody is banging his door down right now

Stacked teams

The 93 Habs and 2006 Hurricanes are the only ones that spring to mind.
2007 Ducks: Three 30 minute per night D in their playoff run.
2008 Wings: Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Rafalski.
2009 Penguins: early 20s Sid and Geno, Flowers, Letang, Gonchar.
2010 Hawks: Stacked outside the crease.
2011 Bruins: Stacked.
2012 Kings: Stacked.
2013 Hawks: Stacked.
2014 Kings: Stacked.
2015 Hawks: Stacked.
2016 Penguins: Stacked.
2017 Penguins: Stacked.
2018 Capitals: Stacked.
2019 Blues: Stacked.
You can’t win this league without a stacked team. It’s impossible.
People gave Hartley the same ####, arguing that anyone could’ve coached that Avs team to - a title. Of course, if this were true, Colorado would have more than two Cups, given that 1996 and 2001 are not sequential years.

You could include all the stacked teams Scotty Bowman coached in Montreal and Detroit as well!!!!!

2012 Kings were so stacked they almost missed the playoffs (they would have if Calgary knew how to win a SO)

The 2012 Kings:
4-1 vs Canucks
4-1 vs Blues
4-1 vs Coyotes
4-2 vs Devils
Kopitar, Carter, Richards, Stoll down the middle.
Doughty and Willie Big Stick playing 25+ a night.
Quick went 16-4 with a 1.41 GAA.
Darryl behind the bench.
What about them isn’t stacked?

The definition of "stacked" seems even more tenuous than "elite" but I would think it would mean stacked with exceptional talent.
Neither the 2011 Kings nor the 2018 Blues fit that mould. And certainly not in the way the 2007 Wings did, with multiple HOF and elite-level stars (including at least a couple who would be considered close to the greatest of all-time at their position), a President's Trophy, and had finished 1st in their division for 6 straight years prior (even before Babcock) and 1st in the west for 3 years prior.
If the 11-12 Kings/18-19 Blues were stacked, then the term seems pretty soft to me. Regardless, 2007-08 Detroit was on a different level, just as Team Canada is generally on a different level than Team Finland, who are "stacked" in their own right, sure, and it's fair to say Babcock has only had success with exceptionally "stacked" teams.

Flames pretty much won in 2004, and they're far from stacked. And as much as I hate to say it, Oilers could have won too in 2006, and that team wasn't brimming with all star talent (Fernando Pisani???). None of the Devils teams were stacked either, other than having a franchise goalie.

Their regular season record.
We've seen more stacked teams flame out. '96 Penguins, last years Lightning, various versions of DET, WAS, COL, and many others.

I think a team is supposed to be considered stacked before they win.
Winning it’s easy to look back and say they were stacked because they won.
If Carter and Richards don’t win in 2012 are they really stacked? They just have two guys that haven’t won a cup.

The 2002-03 Anaheim Ducks team that Babcock coached to game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals was not a stacked team.

I think trying to argue Babcock wasn’t a good coach is ridiculous. I also think trying to argue that Babcock is STILL a good coach is also ridiculous.
The guy had his time in the sun but society and the game has clearly passed him by. He’s failed to adapt to the times.

That group won two Stanley Cups in four years, I think they were pretty good. It’s not like they were the 04 Flames.
They had elite centre depth, a Norris level defender in his early 20s, an elite goalie and added an elite coach.
That’s the blueprint for a true Stanley Cup contender.
