Love how Fauci refuses to bite. Dude just keeps it classy as always and sticks to the science, while Jordan rambles on like the intolerable d-bag that he is.

I finished books quite some time ago. Garfield At Large was by far my favourite.

Edit: Is that Stephen Root in that Wake Up video? He sounds like Finn's dad.

Trump and Kushner think it's too much testing as soon as it benefits the blue states. There was a national CDC plan for testing and containment of COVID-19. This was abandoned because Kushner and Trump want to blame Democrats for the outbreak.

Quote:
Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.

Vanity Fair piece out today on the national testing program Kushner was supposed to be leading. Among a whole host of debacles with buying bad tests the end result was as the virus was hitting blue states the hardest the decision was made to not put together a plan and just blame the a Democratic governors. Essentially the decision was to let thousands of people die to score political points.

Every debate retort should be "This man wanted to/did/is letting hundreds of thousands of people die for a perceived political advantage."

There's nothing else needed to be said. Doesn't matter what the topic is.

He's been infuriating since ranting about his inauguration crowd size being bigger than Obama's.

With the inevitable lapsing of the “enhanced” $600 a week unemployment keeping people afloat those historically bad economic numbers may get decimated immediately. Looking forward to the water wars.

No kidding. A historically bad quarter even with money sent to people who need to immediately spend it - i.e. support the economy.

But I guess this will force all those freeloaders back to work! Besides, they’ll save on rent

A few weeks ago I wondered why deaths were staying flat while cases were increasing. Yup, just a lag, maybe a little longer than before. Today’s numbers look like they will continue the trend. This is gonna get uglier.

This site will give a 7 day moving average which filters out the fluctuations and makes it easier to see.. In theory deaths should stop going up soon since infections have seemingly plateaued.

Except the plateau coincides with the switch from the CDC reporting the stats to HHS, so it's highly-questionable if the plateau is real.

A lot of states, municipalities and businesses put in mandatory masks at the same time as the data being switched over.
