Well Nate looked unreal and the rest of the pitching staff until Yamaguchi looked pretty impressive as well, especially Romano. Offense will come.

2 innings and people are giving up on someone, even though he's clearly still adjusting to the NA ball. Give yours heads a shake people.

Yamaguchi is going to get more rope, that's for sure.

It'd be nice if it wasn't in high leverage situations though.

Gaviglio though, he scares me. I've seen enough of him.

It would be nice if they weren't high leverage situations until he gets adjusted, but has there really been any inning by any reliever so far this year that wasn't high leverage? When he's been used, it has been out of necessity because Starters aren't going deep into games yet and RPs aren't available to pitch on back to back days yet and it's unfortunate that those happen to be the games we have gone to extras.

Big Nate lived up to the hype, that guy has true ace stuff.

Romano was great again.

Yamaguchi was terrible again.

Fischer should have been on 2nd in the 8th eliminating the double play. Hudson didn't even look at 1st once in that at bat. Fischer should have taken the free base, don't know if that was his decision or if it came from Montoyo. Game should have never gotten to the point to need Yamaguchi.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. Maybe it doesn't matter anyway but it's still better to get another shot at getting a run in than risking a double play which is what happened.

I don't get the like or love for Tabler. He never shuts up, especially about the other team. Had he been in the booth for the Rays series he would have raved about Kiermaier every play, every at bat etc.

Shulman makes Buck better because Buck can do the colour commentary. Tabler makes Buck worse. Stick with Shulman and Buck please.

Montoyo strikes again, and as usual his post-game comments make no sense

I don’t have any love for Yamaguchi either, but let’s see him in a situation without a runner starting on 2nd base.

I appreciate MLB wanting to eliminate 18 inning regular season games, but why not just start with a runner on 1st? Starting someone at 2nd is like lining up a forward at the opposing blue line during a faceoff in your own zone, it’s just dumb.

Jays / Phillies series this weekend has been postponed. Sounds like some staff at the Phillies ball park tested positive for COVID.

EDIT: lol chummer

Hockey has a pretty stacked schedule coincidentally at the same time. 🙂

The Nationals games are also cancelled through the weekend, and both teams are currently stuck in Washington with nothing to do...

Like WTF did the league think was going to happen? Your plan was seriously to let everyone travel all over America and just sort of try to avoid getting Covid?

Braindead. Not a chance they get through this, so I'm just using it as a fun sneak peak at the Blue Jays until an actual season is played (nest year at the earliest).

I think Vlad Jr. needs to stop hitting ground balls.
