Flames look like the flames. Each line has no real identity, checking lines don't really crash and bang, skilled lines are a liability if they are checked tightly, and sub average goaltending to top it off.
Flames look ready to battle in a few days.
Oilers are going to do well this playoff. They've got the skill, the special teams, and great coaching. They're gonna sweep the craptastic hawks

I don't know if we can really say much about the Oilers here. Mostly the Flames have been craptastic, the Oilers haven't had to do much anything.
The 2nd line is the only one that's showing some signs of life.

Yikes...not stoked to see our signature “let the other team dictate terms” start. Nonetheless, it’s great to see the spirit of this rivalry fighting through the (literal) lack of atmosphere. Love Bear’s namebar. Great to see the boys go after Neal, at least he still sucks!

Or Japan besball where they have teddy bears in the seats behind home plate.

The Backlund line won the opening shift against the MvDavid line, followed by the Monahan line getting scored on....and the Flames were on their heels from there. The McDavid PP goal was an elite fast finish on the side of the net so hard to point fingers on that one.
The Flames aren’t playing with any swagger, but there’s still lots of game to play.

He's a spineless centipede. Sways whichever way the hype blows.
Thing with the network guys is no one has the balls to have a different take than the popular one (waving pom poms for the oilers and the leafs) even though both clubs are pretty flawed and not actually built to win as is, despite having a few guys that can score.

Shutdown their PP and you have an excellent chance of beating them. That and their goaltending is average and not good enough to win them a Cup.

Flames play a bad period and the Oilers play a good period and suddenly the team with one more win this season is at an elite level that the Flames can never reach.
Alright then

The Oilers are so ####ing amazing they had 1 win in 4 real games against the Flames this season and had one more win playing one more game in a season where the Flames played far below potential and they Oilers top players were about as good as possible

The Tkachuk, Backlund, Mangiapane line looked good.
Monahan showed great hustle but his linemates weren’t great IMO.
I actually think it looked like the Flames were worse than they actually were because Talbot looked shaky on routine shots.

Wow I totally forgot Ken King passed away. I guess that speaks to the craziness of 2020. RIP Ken.

The elite comment was about a couple of players. Which is true, without McJebus and Driedoutspiddle they would be inventing new ways to express basement.

The fake fan noise went off like it was a goal for the home team.

I think I saw Gaudreau touch the puck for a few seconds that period.

Didn't turn into anything but what a ridiculous pass by Gaudreau to Lindholm there to gain the zone.
