I know right? Shocking that the Rays are feasting on him.
Gaviglio is a guy that eats innings in the middle of a one sided game, I really wonder about Montoyo sometimes.

Are you ####ing kidding me? What better way to display you are upset with systemic racism than literally protest the anthem of the system?

I see leaving RISP is still an issue for this club.
Everything is a swing for the fences cut when solid contact is all the hitter should be focused on...so annoying.

Hatch has some intriguing stuff. Showing 94-96 mph fastball and a nice changeup.
Atkins has done a very good job in getting major league talent in return for those deadline deals.

To be fair, even though Snell might not be 100% he still has some of the best stuff in the league, and is really hard to hit.
But yes as a team they have a lot of swing in miss in the lineup, and they need to improve their two strike approach.

The troubling thing to me is that they are late on a lot of the fastballs. It looks like they are looking off speed and trying to react to the fastball and are getting caught in between.

Yeah. The Jays are one of the fastest teams in MLB but refuse to steal bases.

There has to be some statistical significant as to why teams are reluctant to do it. To me, it keeps the pitcher off his game slightly, so I don't get why teams don't do it more.

I agree, especially with teams shifting all over the place. If not stealing, at least bluff hit and run.

When a guy like Tim Raines or Rickey Henderson got on base, the whole game changed. And got more interesting.
Baseball is becoming a battle of statisticians. And that is sucking the soul out of it.

Fans didn't like that low strike call. Walked him anyways through.

Giles should’ve been taken out earlier. Pitches have been way off.

Well there's some good game management. "There's something clearly something wrong physically with Giles, he can barely throw the ball". "Okay, well let's wait until he loads the bases then take him out".

Yes!
I remember when the Jays had White and Alomar at the top of the lineup, those guys would get on and cause fits for the defense. More importantly they would cause the pitcher to lose focus and that would turn into mistake pitches to Carter and Olerud.
Statistians have taken a lot of the strategy out of the game. Gone is situational hitting, moving runners over, sac bunts, hit and run.
