Awesome name, awesome jersey, and Vancouver can finally stop pretending we’re their #1 rival.
Great day for hockey.

That would make their arena the "Krak Shack".

Plural of Moose is Meese. We have been over this

The problem with Sockeyes is that it doesn’t roll off the tongue very well. Or worse yet, they try to shorten it to something like the “Socks”. It would only be a slight upgrade on the nearby (and now defunct) Victoria Salmon Kings.

I prefer the Sockeyes, but the Kraken would have been my second choice. I just think having bad ass fish on their jersey would have been awesome.

I'm a little late to the game, and while I think most team names that don't end with an "S" sound off, I prefer the name Kraken to Sockeyes. Both sound a bit amateur though.
Logo looks really solid. Colours look good too, but I'm not a fan of the busyness of the sleeves. Look at the arm from the tip of the hand to the shoulder: thick dark blue - thin red line - thin dark blue - medium baby blue - thick sky blue - dark blue. 6 BLOCKS ON JUST ONE ARM! Sometimes the simple scheme works best, so I don't know why the NHL allows teams to bastardize their uniforms with so many colour blocks. Same goes for Vegas'. It cheapens the look.

AC whipped this up for me because I wanted to see what it would look like incorporating the neon green some of the other Seattle teams use.
I think it might actually be a bit of an improvement on the red.
Thanks AC!

Weird take. Vegas has five blocks on their sleeve, a lot of other teams have five as well. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston, and Winnipeg (to name just a few) have 8 or 9 blocks on their sleeves depending on whether you look at their home or away jerseys.
Other teams with four colours on their sleeves: St.Louis, Columbus, San Jose, Vegas (off the top of my head, maybe more?)

Sure. It is a delicious fish. A low on the food chain treat.
I don’t think many sports teams are named after things you enjoy feasting upon.
Oh. Now that I see whose post I am responding to, I realize need to be careful.
I think I know the answer, but are you a superhero with some kind of fish powers?

The best jerseys the Flames ever wore (2004 reds) go red, black, white, yellow, black on the sleeves. When you put it that way, I guess it's busy... but IMO it doesn't look busy at all.

Yeah, you could be right - I didn't think too deeply about it but it could be the combination of number of colours and size of blocks combined with non-symmetry. Personally, I like the clean look like this:

Maybe it's just me but I think that "clean look" is dreadfully bland.
