A more intimidating and powerful colour combination befitting the "Kraken" IMO.

The official colours are too passive and largely monochromatic outside of the tiny hint of red.

The more I think about it the more I like the name, and the logo is outstanding.

Thinking of all the new content the sports writers are going to be able to pump out when Seattle starts playing:

- A Kraking Good Time: Seattle drowns the Canucks 5-1
- Top line keeps Kraking for Seattle
- Kraken rise: Seattle beats the Golden Knights in comeback win
- Kraken fall to the deep, lose 2-1 to Washington and sit last in the NHL
- The monster wakes: Kraken break losing skid with 10-0 shutout win over the Oilers

One could argue that the team will be a single Kraken with each player being a different tentacle?

Don't check the math on that....

I researched that earlier in the thread, and got called a Nerd:

In some mythology, I think that the Kraken is a singular beast, not a species. I think in D&D there can be more than one Kraken.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraken

https://dumpstatadventures.com/blog/...ive-the-kraken

But, there are other accounts of there being more than one

One. Mean Kraken. Don’t need more then one!

At first I didn’t like it, but then the more I looked at I liked it more and more. They honoured history with the ‘S’ logo, while incorporating the tentacle and the eye.

I didn’t like the Vegas name or uniform either but it grew on me too.

Hmmm the plural of Bison is Bison and yet the University of Manitoba team is called the Bisons probably to avoid this kind of confusion.

Not a fan personally. I think a Kraken is badass, but it just seems corny, and the jerseys remind me of the Islanders fisherman.

I think there were better names with more staying power.

Cool to have a new team though, I'm excited.

If the Eskimos are rebranded the Elk, the plural of Elk is normally Elk.

Another example would be the AHL's Manitoba Moose.

*I guess the province of Manitoba likes to pick odd plurals.*

I think Edmonton would go with "Elks" because it's kind of close to "Esks" ???

That's so they can save money by just changing one letter.

But those aren't tangible. While mythical, krakens are tangible.
