As for uniforms, as mentioned before, they should both be allowed to wear one set of their choice, for as long as there isn't a conflict in color. Saves all from bringing two sets in in the first place if Covid and logistical concerns are at play.
If the other set is required when the Flames play the Panthers in the Final, and storage and logistics is still a concern, the alternate set can be brought into the bubble with the old ones taken out.
Does it really matter though as Winnipeg has to play back to back as well?
Flames went 4-4 in the 2nd game of back to backs, Winnipeg went 4-5.
Sure it's the same for both, but there is a general reason they don't play back to back games in the playoffs (anymore, Flames did it Game 4 and Game 5 vs SJ 2004), general recovery.
Be interesting to see if all play in teams have the similar schedule.

The bold is untrue, the reason is money. They rarely have back to back games in the playoffs because they want as many playoff games as possible televised nationally. They used to have back to back games regularly in the playoffs before they more sports networks popped up and were willing to air all playoff games nationally.
Yesterday I watched the highlights from the Flames last ten games, and that Nashville game was as frustrating as it was fantastic. Backlund was sensational, and gave Calgary a 3–2 lead with 40 seconds left. A bad break in the final second, and Nashville tied it and won in OT.
The other one that really made me mad was the VGK game. The Flames had a clear goal recalled in the first, and still fought back from a 3–0 deficit to tie the game with 3:00 left. Another bizarre bad break in the final 70 seconds gave the Knights the GWG. Ugh.
Wanna get really mad? Go watch Johnny's career playoff highlights. If he stays true to his playoff form, this won't end well.

The jersey thing is stupid and makes no sense whatsoever. If they wanted to use the retro just say you only can if you do both the home and away.
To say some kind of reason of COVID is non-sense. I can’t think of any reason that would COVID would make an impact as to what jersey you wear. So dumb. One thing the NHL gets a F- grade is for how it handles uniforms and timelines related thereto.
Wasn’t calling you out just the NHL and their stupid rule. Oh well, anyway. Calgary has a shot against the Jets but it definitely is no slam dunk by any means.

Start-times now confirmed for first three games of #Flames-Jets play-in series ...
Aug. 1: 8:30 p.m. MT
Aug. 3: 12:30 pm MT
Aug. 4: 4:45 p.m. MT
Ugh, I'm gonna miss games 2 and 3 for sure since I'm stuck at work during those times. If I'm lucky I might be able to catch some of the OT for game 3 if it goes that long. This schedule stinks.

I don't know- the stubborness about jerseys seems to mostly come from our club specifically and doesnt seem endemic to the NHL.
If I had to guess, our owners don't see huge value in changing jerseys and so it is often down the list of priorities to spend club money on.
It's likely what was suggested earlier, the league doesn't want teams to have different sets of equipment to deal with while needing to transfer into different dressing rooms between games and practices and everything.
The Coyotes wear black pants and gloves with both their retro and regular uniforms, so they're allowed to switch. The Flames wear different pants (or shells) and gloves between their regular uniforms and the retros, so they weren't allowed to switch.

Wow... and I thought the Leafs version of this video was sad.
