Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
#Flames head coach Geoff Ward says David Rittich and Cam Talbot will each play the full 60 minutes in tonight’s intra-squad game.

Says Matthew Phillips was “unable to participate” in today’s practices.

Peter Loubardias @fan960lou
Tonight marks the start of what I would label competition week at Flames camp. Geoff Ward has never been shy about wanting to start August 1st with the best 20 guys. Hinted today that there is opportunity for some to change their fate

Kylington-Stone
Valimaki-Yelesin

Rittich
Zagidulin
I actually think the lucic-bennett-dube line had an amazing run while together. Hoping that it clicks early here.

Ronaldo-ryan-reider as the 4th line.

That leaves jankowski, czarnik as the depth forwards.

As someone who watched Phillips with the Royals ,I am hoping he can show them he belongs on squad . Gonna be hard if he is unable to practice.

Poor historical playoff performances still concern us about the top guys. Yet Bennett actually has a pretty good playoff record for a guy getting 12 minutes or less. The bottom 6 starters on forward will be interesting to say the least. Ryan should be a shoo in after that will Dubes late start hurt him? Whats Lucic like returning after that stoppage? What if Jankowski suddenly starts to shine like he did in his 1st year? lots of questions.

The questions are half of what is making this playoff year entertaining. Hopefully there are some surprises. I like Bennett-Dube as a pair and Lucic-Ryan as a pair. I think that it makes for a more balanced and talented bottom six.

I think you guys are reading too much into it - I think it's just a case of no Ryan yet. However, I do love the idea of a Lucic - Bennett - Dube line.

But that takes Jankowski out of the lineup and he is a better player than Rinaldo, or whoever gets the 4th line wing spot with Ryan. Yes, we could stick Jankowski on the wing, but we still need one more winger:

Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Jankowski - Ryan - Rieder/Rinaldo/XXXX

Until Ryan was mentioned I got excited to see Bennett at centre, I think that is where he shines best. Hopefully the chemistry with Dube keeps him there.

I just texted Loubo and asked if there will be a video feed of tonight's scrimmage and he said he doesn't believe so. But he'll be providing updates.

I like the look of this.

I want Dube and Bennett together on a line.

They have some chemistry from what I saw in the limited time they played together.

I assume it'll just be tweet based updates. Probably they dont have the crew at the dome to run the radio broadcasts either.

Hockey starved fans?

This should be online. We all want it.

Calgary Flames tech department is a decade behind in tech.

We want to watch! Damn put some adds in the broadcast. Make some money.

Sadly the tech department is run by people using 2005 tech.

We want to watch this! We havent seen hockey in months!

I would love to watch this tonight!

Lets not forget we're in the middle of a pandemic. Bringing in the camera crew, tech department, IT seems like a bit much for a scrimmage game.

We don't need your "facts" and "common sense" and "concern for your fellow man" in here! We want to watch scrimmage hockey dammit!

We've seen last minute streams pop up before, who knows.

I don't need to see an intra squad scrimmage, but it should be painless to set up a pbp-less stream.
