Normally I would disregard what Gregor says but Friedman also reported this as a possibility.
Secondly, I hope this game features a lot of aces playing or at least holds next to emotion compared to previous BoA games. Hate to start the play in with any injuries.

I believe teams are only getting 1 warm-up game, it's hard to get up to game speed without playing in games, so I would want the lineup as close as possible to the playoff roster.

Which is dumb. Call it an "exhibition game" because that is precisely what it is. The only reason to opt for Gregor's designation is because Oilers fans are so insecure about the fact that they have not (yet) qualified for the 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs.

I was thinking this too- seems like a recipe for injuries due to (rightfully) wanting to show the oilers how much of a sad clown show they are. On the other hand you want them to have some game speed build up before the actual dance. Would rather have played a team that we have very little vitriol for... Dallas i guess? I dunno.

Yeah. It's pre-play in or exhibition.
Oilers haven't qualified for the 2020 playoffs. Can't throw that word around yet.
They could very well still have the entire thing played out in their barn after they're sent packing.
