Why do I get the feeling the playoffs will be cancelled, we lose our shot at the lottery, and Edmonton wins first pick in the draft?

Of course, I guess if you want to believe in conspiracies, you'll just say they faked the video.
No way that video of the balls is faked as it doesn't need to be but I sure would like to see the lineup of teams with their corresponding numbers! some guy siting at the desk matching numbers to teams that we can't see isn't quite enough for me. was that list available for viewing before this took place?

So besides the Flames, which play in team do you think deserves to win 1st overall the most?

I say Arizona because they got screwed so bad in the 2015 draft getting bumped down from Eichel to Dylan Strome when the Oilers took advantage of the rule changes THEY CAUSED and lucked into McDavid.

Still waiting to hear how bad the Coyotes broke the physical testing rule. Because there is no combine this year they potentially have a big leg up on every other team in evaluating draft eligible players.

Yzerman even took a dig at them today:

Max Bultman
@m_bultman
Underrated moment in the Yzerman press conference was when he was talking about how no teams have the testing they normally would have gotten at the combine.

"Every team but one, actually."

Other than an Yzerman dig I think with all going on the league would like to forget that it ever happened. Especially with a market like Arizona but good on Yzerman for not letting it just be lost in the chaos

For some context, Craig Custance polled 10 NHL executives how they'd slot Lafreniere in with the last 10 #1 picks:

1. McDavid
2. Matthews
3. MacKinnon
4. Dahlin
5. Lafreniere
6. Hughes
7. Ekblad
8. Hischier
9. Nugent-Hopkins
10. Hall

Hopkins over Hall? Matthews over MacKinnon?
It doesn't look like these executives can even rank them in hindsight. Maybe Hall is less sought after than we thought.

Plus if you include Lafreniere and exclude Yakupov, isn't it the last 11 years?

Yakupov was omitted for obvious reasons.

Do we know they were ranking them in hindsight?

I’m guessing they are ranking based on their views when they were drafted.

You would? Not enough for you?

How about the teams that have hundreds of millions of dollars on the line.

Draft conspiracy comments drive me insane. So dumb.

I'm totally okay with this. The Flames should have no business having any chance at drafting first overall, so I feel this is some bonus excitement if they don't make it through the first round. Nice to add a little more excitement.
