Also want to mention one other All Time favorite in Jere Lehtinen. Should be a part of any All Time shut down list. I honestly don't think anyone was better than him at containing opponents as a forward.

I used to be mad that Modano would get Selke noms when Lehtinen was on the same bloody team.

Top 6 is not enough - still too many to choose from.

Ovechkin - Gretzky - Lemieux Datsyuk - Yzerman - Bure

... People tend to forget that Bure killed penalties. That second line would be monstrous in both directions and also insanely fun. The top line is the two best offensive players rekindling the 87 Canada Cup magic and the best pure goal scorer in history; seems like kind of a no-brainer.

I thought about Bobby Hull for 2LW but frankly, if you had to pick one guy from one moment in time to put in your lineup to win you one hockey game, I think it might be 2008 Pavel Datsyuk.

Imagine a line of three Peter Forsbergs lol.
It would probably be the most perfect line that ever existed. Like three Gretzkys would have tons of weaknesses... so would three Marios, Ovechkins, Orrs, etc... three Crosbys would be interesting, but would still be missing the physical play.

Seriously... three Forsbergs would be unbeatable. The guy was a two-way, defensive, playmaking, sniping, power forward C/LW/RW. The guy was a master at so many different aspects of the game, the line combinations would be ridiculous.

I'm fairly certain it's a scientific fact that the reason God never invented cloning is because of the threat of a Forsberg Forsberg Forsberg line.

Pretty sure you just described the legion of doom line in Philly. Lindros, Leclair, Renberg
