Eating pure larva is probably better for us than eating actual pizza.
10 out of 10 honey badgers can't be wrong.

To all the Hawaiian haters: I’m curious about the use of fruit on other foods. Pineapple on a burger? How about apple in a salad or sandwich? Are grapes with cheese/crackers acceptable? How about PB&J? Isn’t that pretty much the same premise?

I know I'm a monster but I find both the flavor and texture just awful, so it was an easy vote for me.
But really I'd don't care that other people like pineapple. I get my pizza you get yours, no sharing!

Hold on. You hate pineapple in general? Really? Did you have a bad experience with it and are now turned off by it? Or just never liked it? I can understand not liking pineapple when it’s sour, but in general? That’s akin to not liking grapes...

All of them a big no for me except for PB&J. They are both sugary.
Pineapple on pizza is like a pickle on a burger. It's not gross per se, but it subtracts from everything else. Ham and cheese are delicious, but as soon as I bite the pineapple, that is all I taste. It negates the rest of the ingredients.
That's just me though. I was exaggerating how much I hate it for the sake of trying to be funny, but to each their own. Just don't request it in a group order. Goes for any polarizing dish. Like if we are ordering Japanese at work, I am not going to specifically ask for naato and then help myself to the same share of things that more than half the people are not staying away from.

Not a pineapple hater here, but really dislike it on pizza. I'll eat almost any fruit on it's own as a snack, but I'm not a big fan of any of the others you mentioned. The few exceptions I would say are citrus fruits, like lemon on fish.
Grilled pineapple? Oh hell yeah. Any and all berries? Definitely. I'd rather taste the flavour of the meats instead of the toppings, and pineapple takes that away. Also the texture of pineapple once its baked on a pie is foul, and texture turns me off of a meal more than most flavours.
As Jon Pinette once said "Who ####ed up the meat"

I just dislike pineapple in general, always have. So that's why I hate Hawaiian pizzas. The taste, the texture........just not a fan.

Also something interesting to see, in the meat poll (heh) every round had fewer votes than the previous round. This 3rd round for pizzas is actually seeing an uptick in responses.

All of those sound awful. I really don't enjoy the combo of sweet and meat in the same bite, the contrast is too much. I've accepted the fact Hawaiian is hugely popular, but I'll never understand it.

charcuterie boards and beverages
Fruit on a charcuterie board helps cleanse the palette so that makes sense to me. It's intended to be eaten at separate bites so you dont mix fruits with savory. Shakes, mixes, sodas were intended to be sweet so fruits would also make sense there too
Save the fruit for dessert a snack. You wouldnt want to eat ice cream for dinner as that's something kids would want to do. But I would assume most of you are adults and are beyond having sweets and candy at the dinner table

My top 5 from the starting brackets would have been
Anchovies
Pepperoni
Margherita
Spinach and feta
Hawaiian
A lot of what's listed I don't even recognize though. Like I don't know what a perogy pizza is.

It's for when the starches you get in the crust just aren't cutting it for you so you need to add potato.

If you don’t mix sweet with savoury why are you okay with tomato sauce.

The definition of being an adult is essentially that you can eat ice cream and sweets for dinner whenever you want.

This is what Hawaiian Pizza leads to...
https://twitter.com/user/status/1127848453084721153
https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/...paghetti-pizza
So Dominos in New Zealand turned a bad thing, to a much worse thing.
Quote:
What’s more controversial than pineapple on pizza? How about pineapple and canned spaghetti on pizza?
Domino’s New Zealand just announced on Facebook that it was adding “Hawaiian SPAGHETTI pizza” to its menus for a limited time only, teaming up with the canned food company Wattie’s NZ to make the peculiar pizzas possible. (The pizzas can be ordered for pick up for $7.99 NZ.)
“This is no joke!” the company reassured would-be doubters, although the idea may have originated as one.
You’d think people would be horrified, but the response has actually been startlingly positive.
“I have made my own pizzas using spaghetti and pineapple ..love it!” wrote one FB commenter.
“what's better than pineapple on pizza? Spaghetti AND pineapple,” wrote another.
“What a time to be alive,” marveled a third.
Maybe it’s a New Zealand thing? Because some people said it brought back childhood memories.
Still, a few people were understandably appalled. One commenter expressed himself as follows: “What the HELL is this??!!! Spaghetti & Pineapple... Why not Nutella and anchovies or cheesecake and mussels?”
Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

That looks pretty gross, if it didn't have pineapple it would probably be totally inedible.

I see. Well if people have can’t appreciate an appropriate counterbalancing of savory and sweet within a single bite, then understanding where we are coming from, it starts to make sense. Some people have unsophisticated palettes.

Someone check on pizza, make sure he doesn't have any sharp objects nearby.

And what's more, it dodges Pepperoni, which was upset.
This is just destined to be, at this point.

Figs are OK because they're not juicy sugar bombs like pineapples.
In my mind, anyways, Hawaiian isn't the worst pizza, but definitely not the best. I think if you're going to do pineapple on a pizza, ham, pineapple and bacon is the best combo. But what I really dislike is pineapple for the sake of pineapple. Like chicken mushroom and pineapple or pepperoni, green pepper and pineapple.
