Alaba and Boateng can’t hit a pass, definite rust for Bayern. Davies’ pace is a real problem for Union Berlin, otherwise Bayern hasn’t really posed any real threat other than the penalty

I like this. You can really hear them scream at each other in German.

Its such a beautiful and expressive language.

I'd love to know what the TV ratings and viewership for this are.

I'll bet they're outrageous.

I have to think that every sports fan at least took a look this weekend? I’d also be interested in seeing these though.

Wolfsburg did me proud yesterday. It took until injury time but we took out Augsburg. As a relatively new fan (it’s been about 4 days), I’m not sure which teams I hate yet.

I applaud your dedication for sure. Getting up early or even in the middle of the night for ANY club can be a daunting task (I would know, as a Flames fan ), but doing it for Hamburg of all clubs? That's amazing. You must love misery man

I only caught Union v Bayern on the weekend. Yay sports. Union with lots of spirit and Bayern looking pretty rusty.

Loved hearing the shouting in German for some reason, although I certainly prefer stadiums with fans.

Alphonso Davies bro, wow, what pace. Don't like the position they have him in, but I don't think he does either. He's ours.

Found it amusing that Davies was born in Ghana, but plays for Canada. Jerome Boateng born in Germany and plays for Germany, but his brother Kevin born in Germany, plays for Ghana. Kind of a weird connection there on the field yesterday. Makes you wonder if all three of them chose Ghana.

Thank you Devo. It is a club I have a personal connection to in that I have gone to a few games at the Volksparkstadion (first time in 1999, a 3-0 win over Stuttgart! ) over the years and my great, great grandfather was born in Hamburg, emigrating to North America prior to WW1.

Unfortunately, I became a supporter of this team about 20 years too late and I missed out on the good parts!

They even won the Champions League in 1983!

Hertha with two quick goals after halftime to take control against Union

that's goals in 4 straight for Matheus Cunha. Just wasn't a fit at Leipzig, but the talent is there.

Hertha looking pretty solid under Labbadia so far. They need that after that Klinsmann ####show.

Huge win for Werder to give them a ray of hope of not being relegated. I'd never thought I would be thankful for VAR.

speaking of VAR, I thought the red card in the Dortmund game was a freaking joke. Not surprising though, I feel refs always feel the pressure to make those calls when VAR tells them to re-check something on the screen.

I agree... I was cheering for Dortmund, but that red was completely uncalled for, it totally messed up the flow of what was otherwise a pretty good match.

Bayern wins 5-2. Davies scores (an ugly goal). Not a bad way to start a Saturday

Davies’ assist was a beauty!
