Gagner was a solid center in a dark time. Iginla's first pivot as well.

I was surprised to see that Horak actually played 82 games with the Flames, and all but 1 wearing this number.

Gagner also only played 82 games with the Flames, but he put up 60 points in those 82 games, so it's an easy decision.


I'm no French expert, but I do know that Gagner means "to win", unless it's preceded by the word "Sam".

I was a big fan of Gagner for the one year he was here. 60 points in a full season is nothing to sneeze at. It's a shame he didn't stick around longer. Left as a free agent the following year to Florida.

Huh, TIL Roman Horak wore #21 for the one game he played in 2013–14 before he got dealt to the Oilers.

I liked Gagner. He was a solid and dependable player throughout his career. Too bad he only lasted a year in Calgary but at that time of his career it was probably for the better. Too bad he didn't land in Calgary a few years earlier.
