In a shocking move, the Tampa Bay Lightning have decided to go in a fresh new direction and have hired Agulati to take over the role of their General Manager. This move comes as surpise, though it shouldn’t, as the franchise is still looking for their first championship in the CPHL.
When asked for a quote the ownership group had the following to say. “We were looking to find someone hungry for success, and we think Agulati fits that bill perfectly. He is new to the world of CPHL, but he comes with great new ideas, an outside perspective and great credentials.”
When asked, agulati said “I have had great success as a GM and have been successful with multiple dynasties.” When pushed for more details it turns out he is referring to his success at the EA NHL GM mode as well as Eastside Hockey Manager. Sources have reached out to me sharing that he is prone to reducing the difficulty and taking control of other teams to push through trades that are significantly in his favor. About his hunger for success he had to say” I was actually famished when i ran into the ownership group and I was craving some (Reese’s) cups. I was offered the job on the spot. I’m excited to take over and work with great players like Stamkos and Kucherov.” When told that the actual squad has not very much in common with the NHL, he answered in a very dejected voice “Oh, not even Hedman?” He abruptly ended the interview to go brush up on the actual squad he has.
The lightning have an interesting road ahead and it remains to be seen how this new chapter unfolds. It will be interesting nonetheless, and we, at TBL Voice will be there every step of the way.
