When do they usually announce the inductees. Isn’t it usually in June?

I doubt it. If Sundin got in his first year of eligibility without a cup then I don't see how Iggy won't.

Iginla was the perfect franchise player. He was a dominant force on the ice and a great person that parents could support having their kids look up to. The type of guy that a family entertainment franchise could build around for all the right reasons.

There is no way Iginla doesn’t get in as a 1st ballot HOFer.
But then again, he was left off the NHL 100 list.

GOAT!

As long as there are voters from Montreal involved, there is always a chance Iggy gets screwed. I will never forgive.

yeah Mats Sundin was also named a top 100 player...
don't get me wrong cup or no cup Iginla seems like such an obvious no brainer I don't know why I'm even questioning it....other than I do know why..

To be fair, both Malkin and Thornton were left off the top 100 list too and they're both for sure first ballot when they retire.

I think this falls in the category of “Things that you weren’t expecting to see today, but are surprisingly awesome?”:
Yes, that is Iggy dressed as a cowboy with dreadlocks and no shirt on.
You’re welcome

Which is an absolute joke. A lot of players win a Stanley cup and are literally just along for the ride. Iginla is 34th all time in points, with 1300. How he didn't even make the NHL top 100 is an embarrassment to the selection committee. He was one goal, one shot away from winning a Stanley cup.
Even though he didn't win a cup, he was the definition of a franchise player and a true leader on and off the ice. With his goal and point totals, along with what he represented, he is a shoe in for a first ballot hall of famer.
