Other than it was clear there was nothing remarkable did you mean to say they are now open rather than not open?

The statement about carts was a little interesting:
sanitized power carts are available for single rider only unless:
-two people are from the same household
-generally two carts per group, however if there is sufficient inventory based on the tee sheet, additional carts will be permitted
It sounds like they might try to limit carts to two per grouping/tee time unless they have an abundance of carts. If they are short on carts and you are a threesome or foursome part of your grouping might have to walk the course. I've walked Bearspaw before and it sucks. I would not do it again or recommend it to anyone.

Typo, yes meant 'now' rather than 'not'.

It is pretty flat, a fair bit of water, don’t think I saw any sand hazards at all. I had never played there before so I’m not sure what condition it usually is in, they had food and drinks that could be purchased by phone. Tons of signs reminding players about social distancing, one cart per household. Not too bad for $49 with a cart on weekdays, but I wouldn’t rush to play there again.

.
If you don't mind greens being surrounded on 3 sides by environmentally sensitive areas.Miss the green, lose your ball.
On the plus side, you pass the beer shack 6 times during your round. Not sure how that is operating this year.

Any good recommendations for Kelowna? Was supposed to do a Vegas trip this month, but obviously that’s off, so the compromise is a few rounds in Kelowna in a few weeks. I haven’t been out there in 10 years, and don’t remember a thing. So far, looking at Harvest, Black Mountain and Gallagher’s, with the possibility of one more round.
Any suggestions? Any of those courses going to make me hate golf more than I already do?

Those 3 are all good. Tower ranch is a popular one as well. I liked the Quail course as well.

It's tough to get on Gallagher as a single. Tower is excellent as is Okanagan club a bit pricey though. Sunset Ranch is very underrated.

Once I was able to get my search through this morning it was good. I suspect they hadn't tested with actual loads on the website for a busy weekend.

Have a round at River Spirit on Thursday afternoon and a round at the Canal on saturday morning.
Using these new rules to encourage myself to walk more and not take a cart. In doing so I'd like to pick up a push cart. Anyone have any recommendations on what I should get? Or what I should avoid?

Cottonwood reducing t-times from every 15 minutes to every 11 minutes this weekend, to every 9 minutes June 1.
Talking with the pro yesterday he mentioned that in opening week last year they had 600 member rounds and 70 guest rounds. This year has been almost 1100 member rounds and 70 guest rounds. This is with increased spacing between times, so it's crazy busy. You would never know it though, I have yet to be held up on any hole this year.
I was told there have been a lot of complaints from members saying they can't get times through the week, which is what I think is driving the reduction in T spacing. Email came out from their mgmt basically saying STFU, it's the best we can do; the flipside is a total shutdown due to a Covid outbreak. You can't please everyone I guess.
Course is in OK shape for this time of year. Greens are a little slower, only 2 t-boxes open (Blue/Gold), and they have the raised cups (similar to Dions pool noodles at Nanton) which isn't ideal but is totally fine given the circumstances. Range opened yesterday, restaurant Thursday. All they need now are beer vending machines every 6 holes lol.

I went with this one
https://shop.sunmountain.com/pathfinder-3-cart-detail
Our pro shop was selling them for $225.00. It's super handy, folds right down and fits in a trunk no problem. Lots of storage, and the best feature so far is the cell phone holder. It has a slot by the push bar where you can put a phone in, which is great for me as I use the phone GPS for yardage and score card.

Really happy with it so far.

I got a clickgear from Kijiji last year. It is the best cart I've used, but buying them new is expensive. They are big but roll very smoothly and easily.

That Sunmountain one looks good too...

The CaddyTek 3 wheeler from Costco. It's bulletproof and super light.
4 wheeled carts are super tippy.
edit: looks like it's out of stock at the moment. I linked to the manufacturer website so you know which one I'm talking about.

Was hoping to stick to Golftown as I have $100 card for there, but I am not sure I want to pull the trigger on a clicgear...

I would recommend the Okanagan golf club across from the Airport. Both courses are fantastic! You might want to play the Salmon Arm golf club as well.
