It's funny but the very first Studio 60 show my wife said that she thought that Peet was pregnant in reality. Not that she follows the gossip or anything; she's not at all interested in that. She could just tell by the way she was moving, or so she tells me! Women's intuition or whatever it is scares the heck out of me!
Anyway, I think that the show has now really hit it's stride. I'm enjoying it tremendously now, even the Harriot character has grown on me.

Actually I think the idea of a single guy falling for a woman who is pregnant with someone else's kid is pretty fresh. Having Danny get her pregnant would have been much more expected I think.

Anyone still watching this . . . . echo, echo, echo . . . .?
So your boss tells you to quit hitting on her, for the third time, and you say "No" and walk off . . . . that must be a dream or something.

Yeah I'm still watching it. It's a strange show for me - there are moments I love and then others that totally dissapoint me. The Jack character is arguably the most interesting on the show, and I'd still like to see more of the Simon character. Mark McKinney remains a tremendous addition to the show, even though his time on screen last night was limited to a few seconds.
The show though is still too much in love with itself and Sorkin, who was never one for subtlelty, seems intent on sandbagging us all with whatever political message he's focused on.
We get it Aaron. You don't like Reality TV. You don't need to create a character focused around this fact, and then make her pure evil to boot.
I still like the show but its got some serious flaws.

Actually it was on LAST NIGHT. CTV airs the show on Sundays, while NBC airs it on Mondays.

there's a new pretty girl at the dance and she isnt pregnant, had me in stitches.

Yeah that floored me as well. I think DL Hughley has been tragically under-used so far in the show so hopefully this will lead to a bigger storyline for him.

Hopefully at the expense of Harriot who is by far the worst character on this show. Why do they continually treat her as though she is so desireable? She isn't hot and honestly seems to have a pretty crappy personality. I don't see why guys are continually infatuates with her on that show.

Yup and that's the biggest hurdle of the show as so much time/energy is being focused on her character and the relationship between her and Chandler. You find yourself rooting for Chandler to move on from her - which is clearly not the impact the show writers are looking for. I want to see what else is behind that character besides an obsession with a girl that I agree is completely undesirable. A prudish, stiff, unattractive comedian, who by the way, isn't even that funny.
The mis-casting of that character could be ultimately what costs the show because if you don't buy that love story, its difficult to tolerate it week by week.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show again. For some reason I simply don't have the hangups with this show that other people seem to. I find the dialogue intelligent and extremely entertaining. It seems like they are going to have some more love interest stories, instead of more insider type storylines, perhaps in an attempt at higher ratings. I'm ok with that but it might be too late for higher ratings in any case.
Harriet doesn't even bug me that much. I agree that the character is mis-cast but, for me at least, it doesn't detract from the show.
Perhaps, I just really want the show to succeed as I enjoy Sorkin's work.

Okay I may have been wrong about Harriet being the worst character on the show because this Luke guy that is trying to stealher away from Matt is 10x more annoying which I didn't think was possible.

I was really not liking the 'Danny Chasing Jordan' storyline...Liking the Tom and the Brit Chick, though, for some reason.

That would be Dawn (Lucy Davis) from "The Office" (Original version). I agree that that 'love interest' storyline was the most interesting of the three. Hopefully they will flesh it out some more.

They still have the rest of the season to fill but I'm not sure how many episodes are left. I'm not sure if it will get picked up for another year but I'm guessing it won't based on the low ratings and high production costs. It's too bad as this is the first show outside of Lost that I have been interested in in a long time.
Tonight's episode was pretty good, there were a number of quality one-liners that had me laughing out loud (the comment about cooking the animals and eating them was golden!).

The one-liners in this episode were golden, Simon's line about Weekend at Bernies was hilarious. Studio 60 will definitely make it through the year but I just can't see it getting picked up for next season given the low ratings and high production cost (unless NCB feels the show has a lot of growth potential next year).
Then again, Wikipedia has an interesting statement partially explaining Studio 60's lack of viewers:

These ratings, called "live plus seven", include all viewers who use a DVR to record the show and then watch it within a week of its initial airing.
According to Nielsen, Studio 60 adds nearly 11%, or almost a million viewers, to its total every week as a result of these "live plus seven" viewers. [28]
