Uh yeah excuse me, most of those guys played for the Coyotes franchise, not the Jets.

Minus for no Khabibulin though.
He only played 79 games for Winnipeg

Yeah but I had his rookie card in my collection and I was always proud of it. I was a coyotes fan in my youth because of him.

And yet all those games played in Winnipeg, skating around in a sweater that says Winnipeg Jets.

History belongs to the fans IMO, not the owner. But I get why people want to argue the chain of ownership for this kind of stuff.

I expected they would go this way when they had the 1920s Ottawa Senators on their squad.

Which is really dumb, because in both cases, that's just an ownership decision on what the team's name should be. What if the new Jets had instead been called the Manitoba Moose (as True North wanted at the time)? What if the Senators had come back as some other name? Are the Canucks going to have Cyclone Taylor on their roster because he played for a different franchise in the same city?

It all seems pretty arbitrary to me, but I guess it's just a silly thing anyway so whatever.

Yes, it's as arbitrary as having a checking line, a current player, and a 225 game threshold.

And THEY bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh, this is a Nazi bar now. And its too late because they’re entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

When I saw this TSN "All Star" stuff at first I wasn't impressed. I just now saw Winnipegs and actually whether you agree or not, its actually pretty thoughtful. I was at NAIT when Hull, Nilsson and Hedberg played. Its been over 40 years and for some wierd reason I still remember the coach teaching us how Anders Hedberg took his shot.

Hedberg looked like he was taking a run of the mill great wrister from his right but he would in a blink move the shot right to the front of his body very quickly and then let it go. He bought just an extra inch or two.

Anyone as old as me also remembers Hulls awesome ability to take an all out slap shot at full speed. (Conner can't pull that one off, not like the Golden Jet). I also remember watching HNIC as a kid and Hull basically shot Gump Worsleys glove right off his hand! To be sure Worsley almost threw it too but the shot carried it off. About 1968, no replays then;-) Anyway I may take a closer look at these TSN time killer All Star teams.
