Regarding the trade with BC. It's possible other teams offered more, but if you're Huff, you have to make a deal that you're confident of getting the player you covet.
I think Huff has a pretty strong track record as a GM and I'm more than comfortable trusting his judgement here.

Gotta say, I was driving yesterday and when Motley Crue's Kickstart My Heart started playing on the radio, it kind of hit home that CFL/Stampeders football will be delayed this year, at potentially may not happen at all. If you've recently been to a Stampeders home game you'll know what I mean...

Some sobering news from Ambrosie about the state of the league and the upcoming season. Hard to imagine the CFL shutting down entirely, but it doesn’t sound like the league is in great shape if they’re $10-$20M in the red in a normal year. Teams like Toronto and Montreal must be doing REALLY bad on the balance sheet...

Hoping it's just posturing...but man. If the cfl died it would be devastating.

Yeah, this doesn't make you feel good about the CFL's future if there's no gate this year.
It might have to come back as a Western Canadian League next year and a shrunken one at that.
Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchwan and Hamilton from my understanding are pretty stable.
Winnipeg I believe breaks even but doesn't make a ton of profit.
Montreal is struggling. Toronto is always in bad shape, BC might not be all that stable.
What might really undermine things if the League does survive if a year is missed is a across the board cut in the SMS.

Just discussions that I've had in past and a chat with some CFL Execs.

I find it hard to believe the Stampeders are more stable than the Bombers

The Bombers are a community owned team with a better stadium and more engaged fan base turning profits. I guess I take issue with the same old bull#### this forum churns out never missing an opportunity to rank Winnipeg in a second class like done above.
