Honestly, a lot of good times last summer and it's hard to even pick one highlight. The cup game against Vancouver was one of the best though. Sitting in the south stand yelling at Crepeau, or now that I think of it basically yelling at the opposition keepers in general was entertaining to me. That night was great though because while we were clearly the class of the league already, we kind of announed our arrival on the Canadian scene with that performance. We deserved the win, and were playing a team much better than us (on paper), and showed no fear.
Anyway...hopefully we can be back later this summer!

For me, it had to be the home games against the Whitecaps and the Impact. That stadium was chanting in unison for the Cavs before they even hit the pitch. It was thunderous, and it was nuts. Articles were written about how intimidating and awesome the atmosphere was at Spruce Meadows last year, and these two games, with the full stands, proved that.
Aside from that, the game at BC Place was magical. What a performance and an upset. Brown's goal, then Zator's header, were things of beauty. Rose and Crown was going nuts that night.
Also, Escalante's first goal against Valour.
So many memories...can't wait to make more soon

^ Bumface might be referring to Kenney's re-opening plan (insert joke here) announced today, which leaves the door slightly ajar for some sort of a season.
That was exactly it. Not getting my hopes too far up, but it seems like Cavalry could more feasibly start ahead of the Flames given the nature of the venue.
Hard to believe it was only one year ago today. I’ll never forget that day, piling on to the bus from Rose & Crown, drinking copious amounts of beer, and falling in love with our team

Any guess on what to cut off date for when they call the season will be?
I would say by end of June we'll know if a truncated season is doable (probably with a start in August). I figure they need 2-3 weeks of pre-season, and at least 7 games plus playoffs to have a half way viable season.
I would think that if training camps can begin in August, the league can establish either an 8 game + 3 team playoff structure, or an 8 team knockout home/away tournament.
The best case scenario is probably a condensed 14 game season with the current 3 team playoff structure. The only way that happens is starting the season in August in a location without the current restrictions. I think that's pretty pie-in-the-sky right now.
I was looking forward to attending more games this year. Hopefully the season does happen, though I’m not sure if it would be viable with no fans (if that is the direction the government decides to go) in the stands.
This is not great, but bear in mind that CanPL is a domestic league, and the Masters is an international event. I think this news is unrelated to whether CanPL can operate in 2020... with or without fans. Since CONCACAF League will almost certainly be cancelled, there would be no crossing of the border, which is a significant hurdle.
There is a small upside here, as it means more schedule flexibility should CanPL be able to operate in the late summer/early fall. September is prime weather in Calgary, and if there's a season, they'd need ATCO Field then.

That is an excellent point. The fact that the Can PL is a domestic league will be a huge advantage to starting earlier than international sports. If they play games this season, even a friendly or two against Edmonton I will balance their budget one beer at a time.

If they needed to pull something off in a really short time, I'm wondering if Can PL would consider structuring its season as a tournament, with maybe a home-and-away between two clubs followed by a single knockout tournament.
