Yeah i think best case scenario is bring back Greenwood for 1 year and let Williams learn under him.
Holley wont be here beyond this season, if there is one, and LB will actually be a need if they dont address it this year.
And having that Canadian LB is just such a great ratio breaker, it just makes to much sense not to take him.

I also think there's always a possibility of Singleton ending up back in the Red and Black at some point, and a Canadian linebacking core with Singleton and Williams would be terrifying.

That doesn’t seem like a very good deal. Move from 1 to 3 just so you can move up three spots in the second round?
I know the CFL draft isn’t like other drafts but why not just pick your guy at one? Salary cap issues?

Why would Singleton go back to the CFL? He finally cracked the Eagles active roster last year, so I can’t see him giving that up to play here...

I took it more as meaning if he's a training camp casualty with the Eagles and can't land anywhere else in the NFL, he could come back to Calgary. His roster spot is far from secure, as a backup player.
He'd be a CFL FA though if that happens. I'd be so steamed if he did get cut, then just signs in Saskatchewan or something.
EDIT: Ugh we traded down?? Why??? Yeah the return was definitely not worth it. If that trade happened in the NFL last weekend, social media would be exploding right now

Fair enough — I saw it mentioned a couple of times on here, but hadn’t read anything else suggesting it might happen.
I think his GF is from Calgary so hopefully that means we’d be first in line (it sounds like he really likes Calgary as well).
