Exclamation [Video] 2018/2019 Rookies (Dube, Kylington, Lomberg, Valimaki)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRFC35lehaQ

Another COVID-19 video special.

It's really exciting to think about Dube and Valimaki especially being part of the core going forward. I love Dube's tenacity and willingness to go after players (see Ryan Johansen and Elias Pettersson clips). I had forgotten that Valimaki was relied on heavily so quickly in the NHL. He was killing a 5 on 3 against on the road in just his 3rd NHL game, and helped kill off the final 50 seconds of a penalty in OT in his 12th game.

I realized while making this that Mangiapane will need his own video, so I'll work on that next.

Rasmus Andersson also deserved his own video, which I put together last month if you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF7owWYaZoY

I have high hopes for Valimaki, Dube and Kylington!

I think they all have a little something about them that could make them above average players if it all comes together.

God I missed Valimaki this year. If there's one silver lining from this shutdown, it's that him missing time doesn't carry quite the same sense of missed opportunity. Hope he comes back strong from the ACL injury.

If Rinaldo doesn't come back next year, I'd like to see Lomberg play the same role Rinaldo did this year. There was a deterrent and someone who throws the body

You don't have to answer with specifics, but I'm always curious about this: With that many views on Youtube do you get much in the way of compensation?

I don't think Lomberg is a deterrent, he certainly can't provide what Rinaldo does.

Any word on how Valimaki's rehab is going? What a shame we missed him all season thus far.

None. The NHL does though!

The videos are autoclaimed by YouTube's algorithm and any advertising revenue goes to them.
