Just ask for a #3 buzz next time you go to the barber - when it opens of course. My barber does mine for $15

I’m closest to #9 but I’d figure a Bobby Clarke comparison is more accurate.

I'm at a solid #4 right now, but I'm planning to go full Jagr.

I’m days away from my wife cutting my hair, which worries me far less than me having to cut hers.

I've been shaving my head since 2012 and haven't done it since March 18th, it's a little ridiculous. I'm actually amazed how much hair I'm still able to grow, though it's a lot thinner than it used to be. I don't like looking at the back though ha-ha. Been entertaining, but the second this is over and I have to walk back into a physical workplace, I'm shaving er off again.

I've been buzzing my hair since 1999, with a few months of trying to grow my hair out in 2003 and again in 2012.

Buzzing is just so easy to do and then not having to take time to comb my hair each day.

Initially I went to the hairstylist I was always going to and she would start with a #1 on sides and back and blend to #4 on top. I could tell she felt sheepish for having to charge me for such a quick and easy job.

So after about a year I bought my own clippers and I've been doing #0 and I cut my hair every 3 or 4 weeks. I'm at 6 weeks right now and it's long. I get bed head right now.

I saw this clipper on sale at Costco so I ordered one this afternoon.

https://www.costco.ca/conair-even-cu...100300576.html

For $30 and another $3 more for shipping isn't bad. It's twice that price on many other retailers websites including Amazon and Walmart.

My wife offered to use it on me when it arrives in a week or two. I showed her the videos relating to the product and told her it looks like it's designed for someone to use on themselves. She's free to try and use it on our toddler though. No idea if it's any good, but it looks well reviewed on Amazon. The promotional material seems kinda... gimmicky though.

Let us know how it goes...if its as "easy" as it appears, i will get one as well.

My hair is driving me nuts.

I don’t think I have seen a self DIY haircut on a guy that didn’t just end up being a buzz cut in the end.

im ok with that actually.

I have a beard trimmer that is about 1 1/2" wide and i have been contemplating using it with a #3 guard all over.

My fear is it quits working half way through and then the out of control becomes the entirely absurd.

Will do.

I just hope it actually doesn't take 7-10 business days to arrive as mentioned on the Costco website and arrives sooner than that.

On Sunday i ordered a Stamps jersey and hat.... and it arrived Tuesday.

I was stunned.

Now it likely originated out of the Stamps store in Calgary, but even still if something is coming out of Ontario (guessing), it should only take 3 or 4 working days.

The clipper I ordered arrived today and I gave myself a haircut. I followed the video guide above and I'd say I got around 95% of the undercut haircut in the video above. From 6 ft or further, the haircut is respectable. If you get closer than that you'll notice stray hairs and slight crookedness of the hair lines between the short and long hair etc. of a typical DIY haircut. Definitely nothing close to qualifying for the worst pandemic hair fails though.

The clipper is pretty comfy to hold and learning curve wasn't too bad at all. Definitely room for improvement though and the next time I use the clipper I'll be much better and confident at it. If I were going for a buzz cut rather than the under cut, I think I'd have a perfect buzz cut in around 10 minutes on the first try.

I feel like what I accomplished today is a pretty darn good base to have for someone else to get a trimmer/scissors and finish it off proper (hard to see my own head). My wife grabbed a pair of scissors and tried to finish the haircut off proper, but I feel like I am now at 97% and my wife is scared she's going to accidentally screw up what I have now and make it look bad and refuses to keep going.

For $30 and about 15-20 minutes of tinkering around plus another 5-10 minutes of my wife daintily taking out a few mm/cm in random spots, I'm pretty darn happy with the result I have right now. Easily much better than the Koala/Lemur look I had going on.

The clipper is not on the Costco website anymore and other sites are selling it for $60 ish. Even after hair salons re-open, I think I'll continue to use this to touch up the sides to extend the duration between hairstylist visits. $60 for what this thing does and how easy it isn't bad though and I'll happily pony up $60 to replace this clipper later on if it stops working.
