Justin Williams proved he could still be counted on as a key player after returning to the Hurricanes late this year. He's a quality vet. He's yours for a conditional pick -- I'll take a 5th that turns into a 3rd if he plays 10+ games next season.

Gonna wait until after the draft lottery to deal McDavid or Pastrnak. The rest can go anytime.

I have really ####ed up somehow.

Somehow I'm already $16 million in the hole for cheese next year. I have no idea how this happened -- it just did, incrementally, over time. Because of this, I'm projected to be waaaaay over the cap -- like $30 million over. It's a disaster. The only silver lining is that I caught it reasonably early.

Somehow two things need to happen simultaneously for me:

- I need to shed salary
- I need to take on cheese

I don't know how to make this work.

Guys like these need to go, yesterday:

- Staal ($9.99 million for one year -- rental)
- Brassard ($6 million for one year -- rental)
- Atkinson ($8 million for two years)
- Kessel ($7 million for two years)
- Grabner ($5.25 million for one year -- rental)
- Thornton ($2.32 million for one year -- rental)

Chances are, my top RFAs (Lehner, Schmidt, Larsson, Simek, McGinn) w ill be the ones who go, but if you have an offer for the guys above, let me know.
