Did I forget anyone important?

Always a line between including some one season players and not others.

I would add Petr Buzek and that's it.

Gotta go with Doug here, but only because I consider his player days. He ceases to exist after that for my own personal sanity.

Riser was a great player, awful as an exec.

Just looked at the Risebrough trade. Man that was a steal.

2nd and 3rd for Risebrough and a 2nd that was 3 picks later than the one Calgary gave up.

The Flames then traded the second to Minnesota in the Christoff trade, the Stars drafted Frank Musil, who Calgary traded for a few years later.

Montreal swung and missed on both picks.

Risebrough was a great add. Hated to lose which is something that emerging team needed. He on a line with McDonald and Tonelli was a huge part of the 86 run

with all respect to Morrison, and maybe someday Valimaki I guess there are two choices here, both come with a plug your nose factor

those are Riser and Bure

Riser was actually a middle 6 producer (who provided of course much more than that) for most of his time here and played a key role in some playoff runs. ..Bure 'is what he is' but did lead the team in scoring at least once in the lean years

Riser also wore his heart on his sleeve as a player- post player he was a disaster but he gets my vote

There's NO need for a vote on #9.

I was thinking much the same. Any number in the rafters should be an automatic bye.

I agree, although I'm curious to see how close the votes for #12 will be.

I can see the argument for either Loob or Iggy, but it's gonna be a landslide for Iginla. As well it should be.

I voted for Bure here. I think if he would have had more talented teammates he could have put up some bigger numbers. Talent wise I have him ahead of Riser.

Bure was a classic example of a scorer putting up good numbers on a bad team.
But he provided some entertainment in the lean years.
I recall Buzek had quite a moment when he ended a very long goal-less drought for the Flames. Probably got the biggest ovation of his career in that moment.

Bure was a brief light in a pretty dismal era, so going with him.

Yawney was also an under-rated dman, who had a very unfortunate gaffe to end a series. But beyond that he was a solid middle pair type guy. Honest player.

that line was so great, I remember thinking they were older than dirt at the time, but average age of 30

they put up 25 goals in 22 games as a trio though- nice '2nd line' production from a solid 2 way unit
