With Joel Waterman having transferred to the Montreal Impact and defenders Dean Northover and Chris Serban uncertain to re-sign for 2020, Boskovic is currently the sole new defensive addition to the side – though full-back Mo Farsi is expected to be announced soon, having reportedly beaten out former York9 FC man Steven Furlano to a contract.

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, we scored 8 goals
They we scored them for you and me
For liberty, we scored 8 goals
Though I never thought that we could lose
There's no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, score 8 goals
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, score 8 goals

When I used to play in CUSA we had a Fernando on our team. And we'd sing that a fair bit. And we nicknamed him Fern because it sounded like an old lady. Good times.

Cavalry still getting a little love in the papers. Little article discussing the online training programs Adekugbe, Carducci and Patino have on the side. Would likely come in handy during this pandemic...
The documentary was quite well done, in my opinion. I think if you followed the events of the finals, there's nothing super interesting but visually it was well shot. I found David Edgar's parts most interesting where he talked about really wanting to enjoy the experience of the finals and being part of history.

In Calgary Foothills news, the entire USL League 2 NW division has withdrawn from the league for 2020 given the difficulties with cross border play and the coronavirus situation. Right decision in my opinion, given the short season and uncertainty over the next few months.
As for what this means for 2021, unfortunately I think this spells the end for the 3 Canadian clubs in the NW Division. With the anticipated de-sanctioning of the BC clubs in USL League 2 in favour of BC League 1, I just don't see how Calgary Foothills continues playing in the league. Would be sad for myself given that Calgary Foothills is what launched the supporters scene in Calgary, but that club always seemed unsustainable.
There are rumours that Calgary Foothills, TSS Rovers and Victoria Highlanders are talking with other clubs in Western Canadian about starting a Division 2 league to fill the gap, but nothing official.

Isn't that what BC League 1 was supposed to be already?
If they want to keep Foothills going, that's probably the best option for 2021 - try to join the BC league. The travel would actually be better.
