Be surprised to see Mitchell traded. I get that it’s a spicy hot take to say he’s gone but he’s on a rookie contract still right? And the team has, to their own detriment, stuck with him as their starter. Why trade him for a mid round pick when your org seemingly still believes in him? He was your crazy high draft pick who’s shown flashes of getting it. Foles gets brought in to push the kid like they’ve been saying all offseason. If he beats him out fine, he can sit and try to develop by watching.

CHJ stays in division, heads to the Chargers. Suppose his complaints about not winning don’t mean quite as much now. Hopefully he’s getting paid.

Really would there be much in the way of interest for Trubisky? Guys like Winston and Mariota have at least accomplished some things in the NFL. Trubisky looks like his absolute ceiling is Chase Daniel.

I mean Josh Rosen netted a second round pick after one of the worst seasons a QB has ever had. Someone will throw a 5th rounder for Trubisky thinking they can salvage him.

Senator - you are a Bucs fan. How do you feel about Tom going to TB?
He seemed really frustrated with his lack of weapons and protection last year. I'm not sure how much of his decline was related to that.

going to be fascinating though. Bucs pretty much had the most vertical offense in the league and Brady is pretty much the most horizontal QB you'll find at this point, so Arians will have to adjust his scheme quite a bit. Jameis obviously had the 30 picks (lol), but he also got 33 TDs and over 5,000 yards ... Brady won't. A better running game would help.

I think Father Time is always undefeated and that while yes Brady probably had the worst group of weapons he’s had in his career, he’s still 43 and can’t be expected to sling the ball like when he was 33. And Arians system has always been about throwing the ball down the field for chunk plays. Arians is a very good coach though, so I expect he’ll be able to modify his offense to incorporate the things Brady does well.
The one thing people who don’t watch the Bucs (i.e everyone) probably didn’t realize last year was that the Bucs defense was actually really good last year. If Jameis could have kept the turnovers to 25 instead of 40, they probably would have been a playoff team. So Brady really doesn’t even have to play at an elite level, if he plays in the top third of the league they’ll be a threat.
The hope of course is with the best wide receiver duo he’s had since Moss/Welker, plus a pair of good tight ends he’ll be able to produce a throwback MVP season. The offensive line is a concern though, but they still have tons of cap space to improve that. If nothing else the Bucs are gonna be as heavily featured on national TV as they have in 15 years.

Detroit going full tank.
I wonder if you see then trade Stafford. NE or SD?
They signed Chase Daniels for no real reason for a lot of money. Draft a young QB to mentor behind him for a year?

It doesn’t feel like a full tank, just dumb Detroit doing dumb Detroit things. Slay’s been rumoured to be on the block for a bit. Stafford trade would be wild though, never say never with the Lions I spose.

Slay was pretty bad last year. Howie's having a really weird offseason so far. Letting Jenkins walk, but bringing back McLeod and Mills was bizarre. As was signing a DT for big money when they already have a tonne of money committed to the position. Hopefully the Eagles nail the draft or they're going to be even more average in the next few years.

tbf you got a really good one in Hargrave, absolutely loved him for the Steelers. Fully expect him to do very well in a 4-3 and be worth the price tag.

Late to the party, but as a Cards fan I am very pumped about next season.
Acquired a star receiver basically for a bust RB.

Twitter rumours that Gurley and Cooks are on the move. O’Brien already shot his load, who’s gonna trade for those contracts? One’s abysmal with a papier-mâché knee and the other is one concussion away from retiring. Elway need a RB? You bet he does

Rams have released Todd Gurley.
Don't sign RBs to big contracts, folks.

Bill O'Brien could have gotten a washed up, injury riddled running back for free if he just waited a few days.

Damn, Gurley released. If there was ever evidence that the NFL is the master "what have you done for me lately" league.
