So what's your issue exactly? You think the NHL will schedule games and just have wild free-for-all UFA status.

This would literally be an impossibility.
The NHL and NHLPA would more likely than not come to an agreement to extend contracts until the Playoffs were completed.

Of course there is a legal way the contracts can be extended. If you think there is no legal way to modify a contract, then you have never actually dealt with a contract. It would happen in the way that I stated, and which you repeated in a dumber way: the league and the union would agree to modify the date affected contracts expire.

The NHL has no say really. If players wanted to keep their current UFA expiry date they would become UFA's. I am sure that won't happen, players want to compete. I was merely speculating what would happen if they did. Then Resolute pointed out they would be ineligible to play anyhow which I had not thought of.

What an odd thing to even discuss.

And as usual you have to bring an insult into it. The most mind boggling thing on this site is how the F you are even still allowed on here after all the years of blatantly breaking the rules. Then again given you have a custom user title I am betting you have donated a lot over the years. Enjoy your immunity.

The NCAA has canceled the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments and March Madness.
No March madness.

Why can't we just all get along and love each other? I say we all get into one big group and give each other all hugs to show the hockey world CP is united

With regards to the Summer Olympics, if push comes to shove, can't they just postpone it until next year, or the year after? I mean, all the infrastructure is there already in Tokyo. What else do they have going on in 2021 or 2022? I get the Winter Olympics in 2022, but why can't they just have both in the same year?
I just can't see the Olympics happening this year. The risk would be so big, it'd be real stupid and shortsighted to continue with it this year.

I find it crazy that USports (CIS) is still going forward for their winter tournaments to be played. The women's volleyball national tournament is still going on here in the city starting tomorrow.
They are playing with fire although the turnouts may be pretty low.

The Masters are scheduled for April 9th. You have to think it’s only a matter of time before that’s postponed, no?

They used to be held the same year up until 1992.

I think you bring much of this on yourself by saying things that are considered less than intelligent.
There is zero chance that the playoffs would occur after July 1 and have the UFA's able to join other teams.

Good news! As they'll do it by points percentage he'd actually be playing vs the Canucks!
