I wonder if there are insurance policies or other considerations that would kick in for a government order vs a recommendation.
European soccer put a pretty quick end to the thought of moving games. Most NHL teams wouldn't have as dedicated supporters, but moving a game to a new location brings a pretty a distinct possibility of a bunch of fans from an infected area all gathering in an unaffected area, and that is obviously not a good thing.

In the USA agree 100%.
In Canada it depends if we wait for community spread to kick in or proactively ban large events at the same time the States does. I'm not sure the official numbers but it appears like Canada is about a week behind the States for # of cases and amount of community spread.

Yeah, same with European footy as well. Games with no fans in attendance feel very lifeless and boring. At least the Flames and Barca are having mediocre seasons so it’s not that bad lol.

Yeah, the dominoes are dropping at a pretty rapid pace now. It's probably a pretty safe bet that the NHL and NBA take action by the weekend.
