I'm sure it was mentioned in the GT but I just rewatched the play where Lucic turns the puck over and sprints back and passes OEL to help take a 3 on 1 away. Great job by Rasmus to break up the pass but that should have been a clean 3 on 1 until Lucic turned on the jets.

Fun game to be at- except for the 2nd period. Not a perfect win, but it’s a win. Gaudreau looked good. Like the stability and grit forbort brings.

Aside from that turn over Lucic had a low key extremely solid game.

Rasmus was quietly amazing too. He's already exceeded my already high expectations for him

He really adds something we've been missing since Engelland left. A solid physical presence back there is huge

I believe backchecking hard and smart is the most positive and infectious thing anyone can do. More than blocked shots or hits, even.

It's weird how similar the eastern conference standings are compared to 2010-2011.
The top 5 teams in the east in 2010-2011 are the same as the top 5 teams in the east right now (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, Tampa Bay, and Boston).

I know the league has a lot of parity. But the good teams tend to remain good.
However, the west is completely different.

The Flames haven’t changed their home jerseys since 2007.

Glencross didn’t start in Calgary until 2008.

(I don’t consider the Adidas redesign different than the previous design)

But the adidas redesign is pretty substantially different. The piping is finally largely gone, the lettering and numbering on the back is no longer italicized, and the hemlines and collars are completely different.

Johnny has quietly taken his game back over the last 15. Honestly, very happy for him; that he could do it. He's always been a superstar and I hope he doesn't look back.

Actually a pretty entertaining broadcast. Rick, Cassie and Ryan were feeling it and Sarich and Stajan crushed it in the intermissions
Damn I wish I didn’t delete it off my PVR after the game ended. Sounds like I need to rewatch with volume.
