I'm less panicked if we're the road team.

I have faith in the road Flames to stifle those PP prom queens.

Are you thinking of the OT win at home vs Boston where Marchand scored on the penalty shot late to go ahead, then Hudler tied it in the dying minute, then Dougie set up to Johnny for the hattrick?

That was insane.

Was that the same game when Johnny and Marchand were basically having their own scoring race and they were throwing shade at each other from the penalty boxes (Johnny put on the "deal with it" face). Or was that the following season?

The Brodie lob-in goal in OT was very memorable.

The Johnny hattrick game was the one with Marchand trash talking:

My original GIF from that has 218,000 views somehow.

Here's the Brodie OT game:

Tonight I remembered why I dont read the game threads.

I didnt watch the game so I read that entire thread before I knew anything about the game.

Some people in there.

just dont visit that thread - i agree the Flames looked flat to start the game and deserved some flak but the over the top rhetoric is really annoying

Which one was the Gretzky clapper over Vernie’s shoulder? Was that ‘90?

Nope that was '88
91 was Tik in game 7 after the Flames went up 3-0 in the 1st. Vernon gave up a long one at the end of the first, and the comeback was one.
The overtime goal was also soft.

Here's the Brodie OT game:
It's a special kind of mind#### to see a different version of Lucic, Hamilton and Bartkowski playing for the Bruins and doing things, and forgotten treasures Raymond, Jones and Hiller for the Flames. And then realizing it was only 5 years ago.

There were definitely supernatural forces behind the team that year.

I can’t get this thread page opened on my desktop computer, only phone. Is this a forum platform temporary issue or is it more likely my home internet having an issue with the CP security all of a sudden?

Oh yeah, that’s right. God I hated Tikkanen so much. There are so many bad memories from those years they all kind of blur together.

Got to give credit to Gaudreau for his work behind the net on the winning goal. I was thinking there would be no way he'd win that battle and yet, he did.

That's cause that guy wasn't Gaudreau, that was Johnny Hockey™.

Random late night observation.

In a small sample size, I've been way more impressed with Forbert than I have with Gustafsson. For different reasons of course.

Forbert just seems very smart and steady. He has a very limited skillset, but he knows when to pick his spots.

Gustafsson seems to leave you wanting, a bit. He definitely has a desirable skillset, but the way plays the game, if he's not driving the play every time he's on the ice, then what is he doing?

At home vs NYR starting with the amazing give and go flip lead pass,
At home vs BOS? Weird backhander that bounces in within the final seconds I think?,
In CHI with a shot off the crossbar from the point?
