Not a bad move but a good play by Montembo (spelling?) to keep his stick on the ice. Johnny got the 5-hole open but he made a good save.

The book on Johnny hockey breakaways is one page and two words. Five-hole.

4 year olds read it in pre school.

Nothing wrong with that. It's the best hole.

Bennett identifies his the only talent on the ice to pass to, and sends it back to a pinching D-man.

You'd probably have to pay me.

Or double dare, at the very least.

It didn't look like much of anything to me. Got his stick under his glove for a second and that's about it. Good non-call.

Like honestly I am curious. Is the rule that the person who has the breakaway has to take the shot? I thought it used to be anyone on the ice at the time of the infraction could take it but maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Montreal actually had their skills coach work woth Byron on breakaways as soon as they got him.

Our assistants don't even bother with development

This deserves a thread of its own. I lived in the marlborough area in 90-92, and even then it was bad. I had my bike stolen three times! They stole the panel of the shed it was chained to.

Flames need to light up this inexperienced goalie.

Lots of shots.
