Is Gio confirmed to play or another game time decision?

This is a big game. I imagine he'll play if he's even close to game shape.

Why tinker with a winning line up. Let Gio rest more.

and please no Cazzie!!

If Gio can play, he plays.

There are zero lineups I would not tinker with to insert the reigning Norris Trophy winner.

I mean your argument is to keep Michael Stone in the lineup over Giordano.

That's not a winnable argument.

Reigning norris winner doesn't hold water. He has been anything but this year.

After the Ryan line had a rough ride in Boston, the small sample size of a Sam Bennett centered third line is now better, and not slightly worse than the Ryan version.

CF%
Ryan 48.3%
Bennett 51.5%

xGF%
Ryan 49.9%
Bennett 50.7%

SCF%
Ryan 46.0%
Bennett 56.8%

HDCF%
Ryan 46.0%
Bennett 56.8%

one major caveat though is zone starts as Bennett's line has had 72.7% and Ryan 47.5%

PDO
Ryan 1.046
Bennett 0.925

Is he better than Stone? Yes. Problem solved.

NSH is a good team and will be a good test. I'm so pumped to watch CGY again with the way they have all dialed in. CGY players have all elevated and it's amazing watching them battle and make plays. Play hard, compete everywhere, play and move the puck fast, make plays and score goals!!

Did the Flames spend the night in Nashville? Do they have Tootsie's flu?

Huge game for the Flames. Nashville is one of the teams the Flames need to bury to secure a playoff spot. Treat this like a playoff game. The season is on the line.

One of the biggest games of the season so far. Should be an exciting game.

I’ll like our playoff chances a lot more if we win this one tonight. Not a “must win” but pretty close to it.

As far as I am concerned the play-offs start today.
Time to buckle up and enjoy the ride!
