3 recent games account for +14 so its pretty balanced.
I do agree with the above though if the flames manage to finish with + differential they are likely a lock for playoffs.

As an aside, I wish you could just easily select date ranges to collect stats from on the NHL site, or that they would allow you to download a data file of all the stats from the season so far so that you could dig into them more.

This option has been on the NHL site for a long time.

Under Peters: 64GF 83GA -19DIFF .481P%
Under Ward: 122GF 114GA +8DIFF .622P%

Edit: (I included the Buffalo game, since that was his first game as HC, but an argument can be made that he wouldn't have had the chance to adjust the systems until two days later when it was official. Unless, of course, it was already "internally official" and was thus allowed to make changes to the systems. Regardless, he was at least allowed to make lineup and in-game decisions - which should be enough to be able to include the Buffalo game.)

I don't think she said it right away but they won the game so I don't see the point in overly focussing on this.

The Flames were -18 at the time Peters resigned (67 for, 85 against), since then they are +7 (119 for, 112 against)

Great game from the Flames. It frustrates me that the team is capable of playing a game like this, but so seldom does.

I feel like people aren't allowed to criticize her because of the threat of being labeled a misogynist.
- She has a monotone delivery.
- She takes a long time to say what she's trying to say.
- She mansplains replays.
None of these things have anything to do with her being a woman. There are a lot of guys that do these same things too, and I also (coincidence?) don't like them too.

That's a pretty serious accusation based on nothing.
I don't like her because I don't think she's good at her job.
I can tell you exactly why:
- She gets stuff wrong
- She doesn't break down plays to tell me something I don't already know. Meaning - she just repeats what is showing on the screen, instead of offering new information or deeper understanding
- She gets stuck on a narrative that she thinks is the story of the game, often what she has tee'd up in the pre-game, regardless of if it actually is a story of the game or not.
There are valid reasons not to enjoy her as a commentator and saying that that it is misogyny is offensive and frankly is as bad as misogyny itself.
I have worked with female broadcasters, including in sports. I love that women are getting more opportunities, as they should.
But that doesn't mean they are above criticism when they aren't doing a good job.

Not going to put words in EldrickOnIce's mouth, but he would have been better to say that some of the Cassie hate is misogynistic. Of course there are valid criticisms, but forevery valid criticism there is untoward, borderline obsessive comments.

How many hockey color guys (or ladies) tell you something you don’t already know? It is a lost art. Compare many of them to guys like Romo in the NFL who are incredible.
You know who rarely offers insight into tactics and the like? Loubardias. I used to like him a lot but I feel like he’s become a caricature who can’t stop talking about putting in the work and structure.
I really don’t mind Cassie because I just don’t think she’s much different than the rest.

the 4th line was matched up to the Bergeron line a lot last night. While they didn't do awfully, Jankowski had some issues and Rieder had some issues. I'd like to see a line of
Kylington - Bennett - Czarnik
tried as line 4 (assuming Kylington won't be getting time on the blueline)

There’s obviously both sides to it. There are a ton of d-bags out there (ugly Facebook comments) that border on misogyny, and then comments in here which are more partial and fair, where the poster is not factoring in gender.
I don’t believe anyone here has said anything malicious. But there are awful, ugly comments out there in other places.

That I wasn't aware of. I don't really read a lot of comments from other places. People like that should be dragged out into the street and slapped around in front of all their neighbours.
