I like Bennett, but Ryan is just an overall better player at this point and absolutely should be higher in the lineup

Not gonna die on the hill. Ryan being 3rd line centre makes sense, but I feel that doesn't mean Bennett can't be with Ryan and Dube still. Why doesn't that line get a shot? Bennett with Janko and Reider is an anchor.

Ideally, the third and fourth line should be getting around the same minutes, and you shouldn't have to shelter anyone. I think that Lucic - Ryan - Czarnik could be a monster of a third/fourth line, and Bennett can centre Dube.
Right now, the fourth line is a black hole.

Bennett-Ryan-Dube
Lucic-Jankowski-Rieder
Bennett and Dube have some chemistry so if they must play Ryan and Jankowski at center maybe give this a try.

I think we have to keep in mind that the Flames are playing on the road against one of the best teams in the league
It makes complete sense that Ryan has third line duties
Doesn’t mean Sam won’t get more opportunities

Lucic-Ryan-Dube have been the most consistent line this year. I’m a little surprised the messed with it at all. Dube plays so much better with Lucic.
The issue isn’t Bennett - its that the other first rounder on the line is a floater. Maybe Bennett between Czarnik and Rinaldo could work. Lots of speed there.
