How have the new guys looked?

Both as advertised so far. Gustaffson not afraid to try to get the puck on the net, hasn't looked as bad in his own zone as people have said but that could be because Stone is sticking out as the weak spot in that department tonight. Faster than I thought he would be. Bit of a riverboat gambler with some aggressive pinches, I could see that leading to a lot of odd man rushes the other way.
Forbort solid and aggressive. Not a real strong skater but steady

The icing is really bad now, as a kid it was never like this. Clearly the refs have direction that has changed over the years. If a puck was intended to clear the zone (not a pass attempt) and could have been touched by the other team or was near the other team (for example, bounced over their stick), it is not icing.
I remember a while back hearing that icing is way more frequently called compared to years ago.

He’s listed as one shot on goal and zero misses.
Is that accurate, I missed the first period?

Outside of the disappointment of a few, that Sam is not double shifting at C on the top 2 lines, lots to be encouraged about in the first period.
Carry on Flames.

Just sat down, glad to hear the new guys did ok, and really glad to see the score.
Seeing that graphic about the Flames having such a tough schedule doesn't scare me, seems they do worse against the lesser lights.

Yes, if anything it doesn’t let them play down to lesser teams, forces to keep the pedal to the floor.

I'm not an NHL coach or anything, but I'd probably keep Lindholm in the lineup somewhere.

It's been an excellent game. Flames weathered an early storm, Rittich was HUGE for them.

On the road against a very good team, I'd like to see Eat Bread just fire it when he's coming down the wing. Forget the fancy stuff for now.

hear what you're saying, but not second guessing anything he's doing right now, he's got the hot hand.

Thought Jankowski and Bennett just put together a very good shift when they started in the defensive zone against the Marchand line. That’s good to see.

Boston announcer keeps saying 'Par Lindholm' who you know... Doesn't play for either team...
A little opposition research could be good.
