Default Radulov Availabe

I will trade him for high 1st round picks and/or top bluechip prospects. If you want a young guy already in the NHL to build your team around, give me a jingle.

Radulov has been sent to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for 1st(ott), Jonathan Bernier, underated Russian Alexander Nikulin and $1mill. Considering the Panthers got three bodies for that 1st(ott) only yesterday, we would like to look at the trade like this:

Alexander Radulov

for

Jonathan Bernier, Bryan Little, Mark Mitera, Andreas Nodl, Alexander Nikulin and 1mill 2007-08.

We would like to think this is a solid return for Alexander Radulov and wish him all the best in Ottawa.

A couple deals were very close to be honest with you. Some GM's like yourself were only willing to pony up a high 1st and a midrange prospect but there were 3 or 4 who were offering up nice packages. One deal that I wanted fell through and would have proved to be tocostly for me so i went with the Ottawa deal.

He woulnd't give me Toews so we made th best of it with the other prospects that he had.

I like Jonathan Berni becuase it is no secret that teh LA Kings have NO goaltending in their NHL system. I expect Bernier to be an LA King sooner rather than later.

You overpaid no question, but its not like having Radulov on your team will be a bad thing. All the players (and there are a pile of them) Dave got are not sure things...Chances are 2-3 of them will work out in which case the deal looks great for you. But you have a budding superstar - a guy that doesn't have as many question marks attached.

So its not all bad.

Yeah, you did give up a lot of assets, but at this point in time Radulov does look like The best player in the deal. At this point in time he looks like an NHL guy. The rest still have varying amounts of doubt around them although over time they can probalby be sold off for a nice return.

I think the Sens are a team that seems to have a lot of good pieces in place so it's not a deal thats going to ruin you. Radulov should fit in nicely with what is a good core of players. I think your team should be able to piece together a few more wins here. In sim results just do not match up with the talent your team has. At least not in my opinion.

I did the deal for the following reason. As much as it was cool to have Radulov here, I didn't really need him right now and he would look a lot better on a different team. BUT the only way I was going to do it is if I got a bunch of assests that can sit in my ECHL while the rest of my cphl battles for the Stanley Cup. I fully expect some of those guys to be great NHL'rs, it is just gonna take some time.

I agree 100%. It was the best offer I got so I took it, maybe if someone would have paid up a bit more they could have had Radulov. Oh well, I have to settle for the bits and pieces I got I guess.
