I see Barrie is a RHS, FWIW. If you traded Brodie and Hamonic is gone or out, and assuming Gio returns soon:

Gio-Barrie
Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Stone/Davidson/Yelesin/Valimaki

Well that ends that speculation hopefully. Barrie headed to the room after an awkward hit

Nevermind Barrie.

He just got boarded by Svechnikov and looks like he probably separated his shoulder based on how he went off. Looked bad.

Yeah that could be the nail in the coffin for Barrie.

The deal would have to happen 5 minutes ago to make sense.

I'd trade Brodie + BSD for Price with $3M retained, even though I know that's not what you're offering.

At this point, the difference between Price and BSD is negligible, would not want to waste the cap space on this.

Oof, no thank you. Price's contract is appalling even at $7.5 million.

That's likely a injury that at least it encourages Treliving to take more of a sellers philosophy with Brodie hopefully. Not re-signing him, so bring in assets rather than getting another player that's the same contract (and position) wise.

You can't send that message to the team when they are in a playoff race. Trading Brodie for another top end D man is one thing, trading him for assets basically means you have to trade the entire core this off season. You can't do it

Wow, maybe they were just able to pop his shoulder back in.

Seeing him go off favouring his shoulder gave me horror flashbacks to my 7 dislocations.

Well I'll give him one thing, he's durable. If I'd been hit like that I'd be in bed for two weeks watching Unbreakable on loop and eating nothing but mint chocolate chip ice cream.

The living room diagnosis is always a risky proposition. I’m glad, kind of warming up to this player.

A legit veteran PP specialist on the back end might be exactly what we need to jump start our special teams.

They're not mutually exclusive. Can still make playoffs without Brodie, although his absence will be noticed. But the pacific is so weak, you don't have to be a great team to make it.

Gotta have long term vision. Get something for Brodie that will contribute for the future, or lose him with nothing to show.
