Jets are really falling off the playoff chase. 5 Pacific teams in the playoffs is getting more and more likely.

He was sent to Utica on Tuesday on a Conditioning Loan. This was his first game since December 10.

Georgiev is darn good but Shesterkin might be even better. Rangers have an embarrassment of riches at the position.

Scared of St Louis and Colorado, but I think we can beat any other team in our conference. It might just be a year to load up and try to make a run. Looking to be the easiest path to at least the conference final in more than a decade.

Almost still worth kicking tires for Georgie. Talbot isnt a long term solution and if we can still get him decently cheap do it.

8.5M for Lundqvist for his last season next year. It would have been perfect timing for the Rangers if this was his last one, but it's not the worst thing in the world to have him around one more year to guide the young goalies.

Someone mentioned it, but his game was with Utica, where he was sent for a conditioning stint. Tonight was his very first game back.

Rangers will be looking to run that tandem for a while, that’s why they’re letting Lundquist be their third goalie not even starting on a back to back while one of the other two are hurt.

Ferland's career is done. What an absolute shame for the guy. Much like his last game with the Canucks, there was no big thing that happened to set it off. Just regular course of play.

I feel bad for him. He has been through a lot, fought and beat his demons and had success at the NHL level. I think it is time to retire. Always appreciated his contributions with the Flames. Good luck, Michael.

Ferland was a great contributor for the Flames, but unfortunately his health was his achilles heel when he was here, and it seems at this point it has dictated the fate of his career.

Ferly fought a lot in junior. It has obviously taken its toll on him.

Hope he still gets his money.

Seems like a legitimately good guy.

He should still get paid. He likely just goes to Robidas island.

3 at 2 in regulation

Wow, the Sharks did the same thing the Jets did, score 2 goals in under 90 seconds. Meier scored the GWG and the Jets remain a point back of the 8th place Coyotes. Hellebucyk wasn't happy that the Sharks 1st goal counted. From the Sportsnet link,

"If they didn't push my pad off, I would have just covered it," he said. "It would have been a simple play. But they threw me completely off and one guy, there was two sticks, one guy pushed me off the post, which was my anchor, and the other guy pushes my pad straight in. I'm trying to hold my balance and fight it but there's really no play for me to make."

As mentioned earlier, Zucker had a great game with 2 goals. Crosby with 3 assists and Jarry stopped 34 shots. The Penguins are closing in on the Capitals and Bruins for 1st place in the eastern conf. The Habs are stumbling and can't rely on Price every game.

The Rangers are improving at the right time with a 7-3-0 record in the past 10 games. They are now back in the playoff race just 7 points back of the BJs and Flyers. The BJs out shot the Rangers 22-7 in the 2nd period with Georgiev stopping all those shots. Kreider had 1g and 1a.

Mrazek was the reason the Hurricanes won. The Devils fired 37 shots at him. The PK was perfect at 4/4 for Carolina and the win keeps the Hurricanes in the thick of the eastern conf. playoff race.
