Yep, impossible to justify, especially when the Flames claim to invest heavily in analytics. I mean, from all accounts he is a great guy, but really should not be on an NHL roster at this point.

The Flames are full of problems, but can you imagine trying to cheer for a team like the Ducks? Gibson's GAF meter stuck at 0. Yikes.

Flames offence is starting to come on a bit. That's a good sign for the stretch drive.

Rinaldo took the fight because that's what happens in games. Often the other team's tough guy wants to give his team a lift by having a scrap, and the other team's tough guy obliges. Why? Because when the roles are reversed, it is good to get that 'favour' back. Also, if Rinaldo doesn't oblige, maybe Deslauriers starts running guys to spark that 'energy'. Just part of the game. Good on Rinaldo for obliging and showing a lot of courage there, and apologizing for the 'late' punch that continued the fight.


By the time this game is over, the Flames will be an even team on the +/-!
