Flames are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

Liked Johnny's effort a lot. Rittich was good. After that a whole bunch of 'meh' mixed in with some brutal defensive plays. And it would be nice to score on a 5-on-3 once every 10 years. Not good enough for this time of year. At this point you just hope they can make the playoffs and make some noise, but realistically this team is just not consistently good and we will see some major changes in the summer.

Not this season. Have you seen the farm system? It's terrible and they can't afford to waste any consequential draft picks for rental players. Of all seasons you want to bet on this year's team to turn it around? You really think a complementary player like Toffoli is going to turn around Monahan and Gaudreau's season?

Joke team. Joke coach.

To think I'm sitting here at a hotel in Tampa looking forward to going to watch them play the Lightning and Panthers on back-to-back nights at the end of the month.

Pathetic team
Honest question - do you ever post in wins? You sure do in losses.

Did I miss the Flames using their timeout somewhere along the line? Because how else is it possible that Ward is so goddamn dense as to not use it with 20 seconds left, and instead choosing to leave Lucic, Ryan and Eat Bread out there?!?

Edit: Sorry, I found where they did use the timeout. My bad.

I think Treliving should let this team play out the season and get into the playoffs if it can. Don’t trade anyone but also don’t trade for anyone. The next rebuild is going to come sooner rather than later, and it’ll shorten it if the Flames’ cupboard isn’t completely bare.

Made an ahl goalie look good.. Even though he gave the game away a few times.

Passing wasnt good. Puck all over the place.

Delete and do something in Anaslime.

Too loose in the defensive zone, and too many chances as a result. Very frustrating to watch.

I thought Monahan struggled mightily. Deserved to be demoted. Dube had two great chances in the third and put them right into the crest. Ugh.

Need a win tomorrow to “salvage” the road trip.

As much as the Flames defense wasn't that great, there are gonna be games like that where you give up 3 or 4 goals. His attitude was very foul for that. Especially considering he has had some stinkers this season.

Trying to relying on winning by only letting in one or two goals per game if your own team can't score is unrealistic. Team (or rather franchise as whole) needs to be more offensive minded, and aim to be scoring at least three goals per game. Gotta outscore your opponent to win the game. Playing not to lose, results in that happening more often than not.

This roster needs more offensive firepower in the top 6. The previous two games the Flames had back-to-back games of 6 goals, but we know that's an anomaly with this roster.

You could easily check my post history and see that I complimented the Flames' play in both their victories

I don’t get keeping Backlund/Ryan/mangia on the ice in the dying seconds after there was a whistle and stoppage.

Lindholm has two goals, Johnny had two helpers. Why is Tkachuk not on the ice?

Honestly, the team played pretty well I thought. At least in terms of extended times of pressure and chances. Defensively, I wasn't impressed with the first 2 goals for sure.

As I said in the GT, they simply don't have enough players that can pick a corner, beating a goalie with a shot. It really feels like this team has to work so much harder than most teams for 90% of their goals. 38 shots for should yield more goals than that. I can certainly see the appeal of Toffoli for that reason.

Chicago is out shooting Vancouver 42-14 Van is winning 2-0, that's what happens when a goalie does their job.

His first shot was into pads, his second shot was squeezed between the arm and body. but otherwise, correct.

Nah, first two periods the game was easy for him

Flames had more chances in the third but a struggling Flames team has a tendency to make goalies look really good

Flames once again, failed to show up.

They were lucky it was not 2 or 3 to nothing after the 1st period.
