Has anyone got that little post-game interview with Derek Wills? I heard it yesterday too and it was great, even better than his post-gamer with the TV media.

I don't mind Rinaldo as a singular entity. I think he can provide a decent jolt of energy, and I like his shot and speed. But he should not be overused. Bennett is a much more capable option and should be in the lineup on a more consistent basis than Rinaldo.

So the answer to the question is.....corsi!
OK then.

The other answer is history. Rinaldo’s career high in any pro league is something like 5 goals. We know Bennett has more than that in him.

Always knew he was intense, but he has decent hands/hockey skills and good instincts which have surprised me.

Edit: Odd not to include last night's goal IMO.
Also honourable mention for this pass:

Often these are triggered based on a highlight reel event occurring - “Here are 10 other awesome things he has done”, so it is excluded based on that

I don't know. It was a Top Ten MOMENTS list. Not specifically plays.

Yeah i dont disagree...but as was stated in the "any more" part of the question.
Maybe i should have said "at this point" instead.
Meaning...which guy is more effective in their role on the club? Are they not pretty much playing that same role and do they need both of them dressed and if not, who should be the starter?
I guess they could both get in the line up at the expense of Reider, but then you are losing a PK guy.
Eye test and results have been leading me to believe that the club is better with Rinaldo in. At least at this point of time.

The question is, who has more in them if you play one or the other? Who is more likely to start scoring at a higher clip? I'm no huge Bennett fan, but it's pretty obvious.

Man this gets tiring.
Bennett generates more shot attempts and chances than the guy. That's a good thing.
If he had finish he'd be a true top six, but since we're now discussing not playing him for a good guy journeyman on a shooting percentage heater it's pertinent.

Did I miss something and now the team that generates the most shots wins the game?
I thought we put the idea of “more shots = team better” to bed with the Glen Gulutzan Corsi darlings.
The discussion of not playing him is only tangentially related to Rinaldo. Bennett’s been playing himself off the team.

And didn't Bennett finish last year leading the flames in high danger scoring chances? D Will predicted a break out year for Bennett this year.
Yikes

That's not what I said.
Bennett had a miserable start to the season, but his numbers since January 1st suggest he may be back on track to what we've seen in the past; a guy that generates a lot but can't finish.
Since Jan 1st for forwards Bennett is ...
2nd in CF%
4th in Shots%
2nd in xGF%
4th in Scoring Chance %
2nd in High Danger %
Rinaldo is
14th in CF%
14th in Shots%
14th in xGF%
14th in Scoring Chance %
13th in High Danger %
This isn't "more shots", it's a sustained period of time where you're driving the play, generating more than the opposition and generally contributing to winning hockey games.
