Well hopefully this cools the talk of how this would be a good season for a high draft pick and throwing out Gaudreau trade scenarios for a while.

I have done some analysis and it appears to be more fun when the Flames win.

More than anything, the team just looks more determined the last two games.

Work ethic is literally night and day these last 2 games vs. essentially the entirety of this season thus far. The problem they have is now we know they don’t actually suck it’s just a case of how bad do they want it which unfortunately is often not enough.

Man, you're just a dog on a bone with this.

It IS possible for a team with a bad coach and/or a bad system to play well and win some games. But you know that.

Well, that was refreshing! If Lucic, Reider, Rinaldo, Jankowski, and Backlund chip in 5 goals each night, I like the Flames' chances!

Seriously though, great game! Sometimes it seems like Lucic has a lot more left in the tank than we are often led to believe. I hope he keeps the form he has shown here. Maybe all that time in Shelbyville made him forget who he was, and he is slowly starting to remember; like Jean Claude Van Damme in Universal Soldier.

Ya I dunno. I think it’s work ethic. They were getting lazy too much.

First star Zac Rinaldo. Never thought I'd see that.

I have often wondered if they have been holding a little back this season in the hopes that there will be something left in the tank for the playoffs, unlike last year.

Dangerous game, considering that they have been a bubble team all year as a result of inconsistent effort.
